Finished up the basics of changes fort bike last night.

Targa fender eliminator with turn signals from a honda cbr my friend gave me.

Soliton's brake flasher assembled and installed, works like a charm.

Took off the front upper fairing to wire in the LEDs I bought to turn the running lights in the headlight housing to turn signals. Then decided to wait until my
Flush mounts to come in so I can knock it all out at once.

Checked the tb sync as well as tps...no adjustments needed on either(woot!). Washed it and then cleaned the chain.

FL Rally here i come!

Installed Delkevic Exhaust, man do I love the little loud pop it makes. Waiting for belly pan to come in to put that bad boy on, and deciding what color to change my bike. Perhaps white.

Sync'd the throttle bodies using a homemade manometer

Just a tip: You don't need to remove the airbox to synch the TB's, and in fact get a more true reading with the airbox installed. Also...did you install extensions on the vacuum nipples so you can do this again at regular intervals without all the stress of trying to reach those darn inaccessible things?

Mine has 6-8" lengths capped with screws tied to other hoses on each side so synch checking is a 2 minute deal.:)

I put on some stock 2nd gen dog bones today. The PO had some PSR lowering links and one of them was cracked where it bolts to the bike. It was such a pain in the ass...one of the sleeves that came out of the linkage was completely stuck to the bolt so it took some persuasion and ingenuity with a table vice to get the sleeve off. Unfortunately I don't have a table vice but the people at ACE hardware were nice enough to let me use their's out back.

drained and flushed coolant, installed new Delkevic radiator. painted radiator side guards black and re-installed. filled er up with new coolant. installed new banjo bolt and crush washers and did all the necessaries to get the front brakes working again. got rid of S clipons, re-installed risers, installed Superbike bars. might have to trim the bars down a bit, cables are all at their limits.

and that was AFTER I spent all day building some nice handmade mortis-and-tenoned windows for my uncle that just cut his fingertips off.

had to make up for saturday somehow. at least I got some stuff done and the bike is ready to roll again.

Great idea! I think I'll do the same the thing next time I sync my throttle bodies. Well, since I have my Scottoiler hooked up to one of the cylinders, I'll have to modify that slightly, maybe with a T-fitting, but it should still work. Thanks for the good idea. :eek:ccasion14:

I replaced my chain and sprockets and changed my oil and filter. Then I took it for a spin around the block to test it out and it started spewing oil!

Since the chain broke at 80mph, I assumed that I must have missed a small crack in the case. As it turns out, the clutch pushrod was bent, and it was leaking oil from where it entered the case. A block of wood and a hammer straightened out the pushrod, which stopped the oil leak!

... So I can now say I fixed an oil leak with a hammer!
Hey max what was you doing when that chain gave way? Accelerating? Or it just go on its own?
Was you expecting it to give out anytime or was it all of a sudden?

I installed some new supposedly 4000k 'ultra white' lights that are just as yellow as the stock headlamps. I then installed the 194 LED white lights for the marker lights and license plate light. They're extremely dim and blue color, not white. Tomorrow I'll reinstall the old lights and return the sh!tty lights.

I also replaced my single Gerbings heat troller with a Warm 'N Safe dual wireless heat troller. I mounted the remote on my tank box. This is MUCH better than the old single wired troller I was using.

The difference between incandescent and 4000 Kelvin is minuet . Where u can get all kinds of color temperatures. I have 8000 k on my car and because they're hid, they look super crisp and great.
An incandescent bulb no matter what color, 4000 or a cool 6000 will be much more soft.
eBay hids have been pretty good on every count I've heard of

Oh I see. I read the temperatures and just automatically assumed you had some HIDs in there.
