Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.
I bought my zx 10 shock for 55 shipped off ebay, but it was the less expensive 45Âş reservoir type. If you got a zx14 for 50 you got a good deal. They can be found at that price but you have to do some digging.Ya you're right...What is the going rate on these zx10 shocks? Can they be found for less than $100...I bought my zx14 shock for $50.
Oh shnap!!Ok, technically it wasn't today, but I put a SV650 motor in a Ducati.

The hanger was just a bent piece of aluminum holding up a 25lb exhaust can so it was only a matter of time before it broke. The M4 will be supported by the passenger peg bracket again that I'll reattach until I can get a proper hanger made, or I'll just leave it as is.Good choice... M4 are loud enough but not obnoxious and not only look good, they are well built.... I don't regret getting my full M4 system with the titanium can (titanium mid seems to not really be worth the extra cost)
Although... if a pothole kicked loose the hanger... you may want to go around the bike with a spanner and check any other bolts for potential looseness
I don't have a proper build thread unfortunately. Tons of pics up on Facebook of the build process here:Details? Build thread?
Please post up a link when you do!I plan on doing a write up on the whole thing on my blog later.
Not sure if it looks right on the lower fairing..Technically this was yesterday's work, but I finished up the white stripe, its just temporary, I'm just playing around with the paint scheme.
Do you mean it doesn't look good on it, or it doesn't look centered? Its definitely centered, but that cut out isn't.Not sure if it looks right on the lower fairing..
I think the cut out being off, makes it look crooked.Do you mean it doesn't look good on it, or it doesn't look centered? Its definitely centered, but that cut out isn't.
Hahaha! Awesome!... So I can now say I fixed an oil leak with a hammer!
I think you're right, I'll probably just remove it until I'm ready to finalize the paint.I think the cut out being off, makes it look crooked.
