Pulled off the subframe and had my roommate (who is a welding instructor) TIG on a couple brackets: one for the exhaust (it had just been holding itself up) and one for the battery (a bit more complex).

It's nice to have a Dynasty 200DX and someone who knows how to use it in the garage.

drooled over various svs. i don't get it. i've had 3 of them already. i should move on. but nope, every time i sell a bike, i end up with an sv.

Gave her a bath. I was out in the rain yesterday, so she was a little dirty. Now she sparkles!

Yesterday I loaded it all up with gear and took it for a decent ride (250 miles or so).

Next week I plan on leaving on a couple thousand mile ride, with less gear than pictured.

Oil change after the bike was in storage for about 16 months. Clean and lube the chain. Also applied something for the rear brake squeal. Still need to clean the bike for motoGP silverstone on Sunday.

New to the SV650. (2000, 5100 miles) Just bought it days ago, and had to go from Long Beach to Pasadena two times (120 mile round-trip total).

New to riding in California, and thought I'd wait a while before I split lanes, but I hate traffic, so off I went for the first time riding a bike on these freeways. Yes, I split lanes like a pro! I got the hang of it very quickly, and most cagers are very courteous about it. Naturally, there are people who don't use their signals, but I'm aware of them.

Oh, lost traction on the front end turning left for a sec but did not dump it. Whew!

Got the front wheel off of the ground for the first time on an energetic leap through cross-traffic.

I love to ride. I think I'm going to like this bike after I work out a few kinks.

layed down some black plasti dip over my mirrors and mirror spacers, and the bolts/bracket on swing arm, also did my passenger pegs with black plastidip to see how it looked before i perhaps spray painted the rider pegs flat black.. am kind of 'afraid' to do it..

then decided to throw down some white plasti dip on my seat cowl to see how it looked on the bike... pics soon

Washed it again. Minimized the cosmetic damage from last weekend's lowside. Swapped shift rods + knuckle for less bent ones.

And then installed new china-cheapie turn signals (..also due to last week's lowside).
