Adjusted my clutch. realized that my disappearing oil problem could be from the sprocket shaft seal. I forgot what its actually called. Have to clean it off real good and run it. Also giing to run a compresion test to check the rings.

Did you do your clutch adjustment up at the lever or down by the engine?

A compression test will only tell you whether or not you're losing compression, it won't tell you where you're losing it. You want to do a leakdown test for that. That'll tell you if it's the rings, intake or exhaust valves, head gasket, etc.

Well its not a huge lose of compression, if there even is a loss. Its not running rough. Im losing oil somewhere, about half of a quart every month. As far as i can tell there are no external leaks. Yesterday i adjusted my clutch and realized that that whole little area is a little more moist than usual. Now, i had washed the bike and lubed the chain on sunday as well, so idk if its anything left over from that. Which is why i said i have to clean everything and run it to check. I also figured id do a dry compression test and then a wet one to tell me if im possibly losing oil from the rings letting it by.

Just finished giving her a bath. Had some rain on the weekend trip, and rain locally, so all shiny again now. :)

Parked it because of a 'severe thunderstorm' according to the weather app
THERE WAS NO THUNDERSTORM or rain for that matter...

Took some dirty gravel roads today so that I could get some dirt kicked up onto my new exhaust. It was way too shiny and didn't look right on my dirty bike at all. Now it looks like it belongs on the bike.

I got a rear stand for Father's Day.

I seem to be taking mine places it doesn't belong a lot as of late. Damn shame I never have a camera with me when I'm traversing DRZ territory.

took it apart
