New gel battery for the rally. The old one was leaking from a hole worn in the bottom from sitting on the replacement shock reservoir.

I ordered a new rear tire for it. $100 shipped for a Dunlop Roadsmart in 160/60-17 from motorcycle-superstore. I figure I'll be due for a new rear before the end of summer since I've been commuting on the bike more now that the location of my employment has changed... Went from 2 miles one way to 18!
I've already put more miles on the bike this year than all of last year. I'm rather ashamed to admit the #'s from last year...

Valuable lessons: The "vest" rain liner in a mesh jacket will not keep you dry in full on rain. And no matter how waterproof your overpants are (very, for the record), if you tuck your t-shirt into your pants, you're going to be wringing water out of your underwear when you get home. And if it's probably going to rain, you should probably bring your rain jacket. Tempting fate never works out in the end.

Fortunately, you can only get so wet before you can't get any more wet :p

Honestly, I didn't get COMPLETELY wet (my socks and most of my pants stayed dry LOL), but it was the most wet I've gotten on the bike, and it was totally my fault. If I'd brought my real-deal rain jacket with me, it would have been a complete non event.

noticed my rear rim didnt match the hash marks on either side of the swingarm. so i adjusted the chain tension and made sure the wheel was straight. all by hanging the back end from a 6' step ladder.

Drove it for the 1st time in about a month since my Hernia surgery. Was one of the most enjoyable rides to work I've experienced. Perfect weather for riding. Cool and comfortable on the way in, nice and warm, but not hot on my way home.

I did this yesterday actually. I replaced the N bars on my S model with a Fly Racing dirt bike bar. It was the widest dirty bar I could find at my local toy store... and it was only $19 too!

For $19, this was probably the best bang for the buck upgrade I've done yet. Wow are these comfy!

The only problem is that my mirrors are even more worthless now with my arms farther out on the bars. I'm gonna have to do something about this mirror. I don't think those tiny mirror extenders they sell on Ebay are gonna cut it.

Was yesterday, but finally put a new chain on it and got it together enough for a ride around the neighborhood... i think it may have been loud enough to cause some old people grief...Day before that, I installed the lights, engine, exhaust, tail pieces, etc.
