Over the weekend, installed Intiminators and fixed a dragging brake wear bar caused by pinched forks

I put on a set of Bridgestone BT023s. That was almost like real work. :icon_biggrin: (I'm sore almost all over.)

The previous set was nearly toast, but I figured they had one "good ride" left in them.

I met up with a local group and we did a 250 mile ride, on mainly deserted roads, with some insane twisties and high speed technical stuff. I was chasing an R1 and a CBR600RR and those guys were GOOD. Another guy on a CBR600 was left far, far behind and we had to wait for him at every turning point. Long story short, that ride totally thrashed what was left in those tires. I had to beat on the SV to stay near the two fast guys; I don't think that the bike has ever been ridden that hard.

Thank God we didn't encounter any cops!! :evil6:

clenaed the air filter and installed new, overdue plugs. the front one had a grayish color to it and the rear one was black and dirty. Is that normal?

Think I picked up at least 17 HP and 27 MPG from clean plugs :)

well over the weekend. Got new keys made from the ignition, $100 later. If you don't have an extra key go get one made!! Put it all back together fired it up and road into work today.

black and dirty is indicating a rich fuel mixture most likely, could be a too large of a jet or a too high of a float level in the rear carb. Might also indicate a dying plug.
I know some of the jets are clogged. i have hesitation going on between 5500 and 7500 rpm. I have new jets to install but did not want to attempt this close to the rally
