Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.
Installed a Kisan P115W headlight modulator (tight fit, but fits).
Installed a Backoff! XP brake LED light modulator (flashes 5 times then stays solid).
Just a note, one of the two screws holding the headlight was stripped (note that this is a brand new bike). Anyways, I used a tap and die to fix them (size M5), then swapped screw positions, and all is well. I'm glad I checked it before the stripped screw fell off.
Got my Road Attacks mounted and ready to attack the road. Now I am planning what time I should leav and the route I want to take to the Ohio Rally.
Rode it to work after dropping my DRZ off at home on my lunch break.
Its so much fun to switch bikes I highly recommend a 2nd bike if you have the means.
I dropped my helmet off my bike today....twice. Then I got a parking ticket because the campus cop couldn't find my parking permit sticker that's exactly where the instructions on the permit says it should be.
Rode it to work and back. Fist ride after doing the 636 shock swap. Stood around looking at it and talked about the suspension with a co-worker. First time riding since I broke my collarbone almost two months ago. Planned on riding on Saturday.
Adjusted the Idle speed. Took off the black sticker on the left side of the frame.
Rode to Motorcycle Closeouts in NKC and bought a magnetic tank bag. (that's an awsome store)
;D
It's a Rapid Transit Stack LT bag. Held tight and I could hardly see it on the way home.
Looks like it will hold an awful lot. Turns into a backpack and splits in two for lighter use. Hole for hydration system. Little pocket with window for cell phone.
Awsome ride today, not many good days left.
Used up a tank of gas. Got it dirtier. Rode to a Ducati/BMW/KTM dealership and came away rather unimpressed (except for the white SuperDuke) May have been the high pressure salesguys who pretty much ignored me when they realized I wasnt buying a bike today.
Rode 459miles. Went to see the Big Muskie shovel and stopped by the Ohio Sv Rally and ran into Zach and Suzanne. Everyone else was still out for a ride so I rode around the park of a while and made the 192 mile trip home.
removed chain guard and front sprocket cover, wiped out 5700 miles worth of sludge, cleaned the chain, waxed the chain, gave her a bath, now i'm out to drop some panties. later.
Its been a big week for the SV. Installed frame sliders Thursday. Got schooled at the track on Friday. (Rode hard and put away muddy, well, ok dusty). Back home Saturday. Gave her a partial bath.
Cleaned the chain and installed the group buy Pyramid carbon fiber hugger today. Looks sweet and should keep the taillight from getting caked with shite.
