Well it was actually over the past two days but, i changed the fork oil and set the air gap, etc. properly, ordered a set of OES frame and swingarm sliders, and a black silicone hose set. I also switched back to the stock front brake resevoir and re-bled the brakes due to my knock-off aluminum one leaking, and finally gave her a bath. Next up trail tech stealth vapor computer, and a Rizoma resevoir.

romano's race bike got flatslides cleaned and reinstalled with a new motionpro revolver and cable... went a bit weird because the cable wasn't the same shape/length as the old one that broke. the holes in the instructions were also wrong (wouldn't snap shut on one and wouldn't open all the way on the other. found the right holes with trial-and-error.

Got a chance to start putting the SV back together after getting a bunch of parts back over the last week or so....

Installed the Ohlins shock...

Reinstalled the forks that I got back from Racetech for rebuild/Goldvalve treatment....

Installed a pair of new Michelin Power Superports, 120/70 on front and 180/55 on rear...

Got seat back from Sargent for recovering and adding an inch of foam(more legroom for my 6'4" frame)....

Still have to install the Vesrah pads and am waiting for some new cush drives so that I can complete the GSXR rear wheel swap(Zoran)...

My wife was unimpressed with the rear tire...the only reason I did that is because you guys said I would get more booty with a 180 back there...

Cleaned the rear wheel. With a Scottoiler, it's easy. I use ATF as lube and it wipes right off with an old shop rag; no solvents needed. Takes about 2 or 3 minutes.

Lubed the kick stand and shift pivot.

Topped off the Scottoiler.

Added 4 oz. of Sea Foam to a full tank of gas; my bike LOVES the stuff!

Installed a new 16/45 530 chain. The Scottoiler I ordered should be in tomorrow. Between the oversized chain and the oiler, hopefully I'll be able to get more than 10,000 miles out of a chain/sprockets.

I've had my Scottoiler for 14K miles and have adjusted the chain once. I'm certain that I'll get at least 30K+ out of the chain and rear sprocket; I'm changing the front sprocket at 15K since fronts wear out much faster than rears.

On a side note, I just read a post on another forum where a guy said he has 65K miles on chain and sprockets on a Triumph, using regular chain lube.... yea, right. :lmao:

I know I've asked this somewhere else before, but since I've forgotten, what do you use for lube in the Scottoiler?

Good to hear. I figure that if I can double the life of the chain the Scottoiler will more than pay for itself. If I keep up with my current yearly mileage, it should pay for itself within the year.
