Put new spark plugs in the 04 and painted the rear master cylinder on the 05.

Yesterday: finished the welding on the new subframe. Basically just the end plate where the seat latch attaches, and 6 little tabs to mount the undertail to. Primered it.

Today: painted it, drilled the holes for the seat latch and mounted it, made a bracket for and mounted the taillight.

Still need to make the undertail, I have the aluminum but no good way of cutting it accurately.

Sadly just looked at it b/c it was too hot to ride once again today! That's the only the bad thing of now have another form of transportation, I cop out so easily. I remember the first year of having SV, I'd ride anytime, any temp and anywhere, b/c I had no choice. Now it's like too far gotta drive, too hot/cold gotta drive and too late gotta drive. I'm such a wuss!

I'm taking my front end off to try and fix my leaky radiator and some cleaning. Might even paint my brake calipers if I can find a gold paint that I like

Bought my second SV yesterday. After 2 years with my beloved 650 that ended up in an head-on crash with a car, I got myself a 1000!

Teaser pics, more to come when i'll bring her home thursday!

P.S.: I love RED!!!

My 04: cleaned the wheels, cleaned and lubed the chain, waxed the bike.

My 05: Installed the newly painted rear MC and then blead the rear brake. Also lowered the vortex rearsets to the lower middle position.

Put on my new Sargent seat, will give it a ride tomorrow. Also put on a dark smoke windshield to replace the ****** up stocker the PO seem to let a tiger with REALLY sharp claws at for awhile.

Installed the R6 master cylinder. Need to pick up an ASV lever for it still.

Let us know how that Sargent seat works out for you. That is on my short list (okay, I have a long list, not a short list) of improvements I want to do to my bike.

By the way, I was out in the Pittsburgh area a week or two ago. I'll have to let you know when I'm out your way next time and we can meet up and ride... Or grab a Starbucks coffee or something. :headbang:

Today I rerouted the speedo wire and popped in fresh EBC HH rear pads in order to pass tech inspection.

Went to bed at 130AM, woke up every hour due to jetlag. Said, '**** it' and now I'm up.

I don't own an HD, Ducati, Aprilia, MV or KTM. I'm not allowed in the Starbucks parking lot. :(

...and yea, I know what you mean by 'long list'. So much to spend, so much to spend.

Installed new rear tire. Can't find the right tools to remove the front wheel though dangit! Then I need to rig up a way to get the front in the air.
