Took me a few days to complete, but recently disassembled my bike for some lube and cleaning and put back together with some new goodies

- installed Speigler SS lines and fluids (still have some damn air in the lines that refuses to come out. any suggestions?)

- PERFORMED WHEELIES ALL DAY IN FLIP_FLOPS AND SHORTS *****ESSS
Brakes: Did you possibly overlook the bleed nipple on the master cylinder? (assuming your GSXR forks came with a radial MC)

Maybe try wrapping a strap around the grip and lever to squeeze it and let it sit overnight.

Another potential fix (if I remember it correctly) is to remove the cap of your reservoir, take a little fluid off the top, then gently squeeze the pistons back into your calipers to dislodge any bubbles and let them float up and out.

WHEELIES: I hope you overfilled your oil, or else your engine will assplode. ;D

Nah I decided to take all the oil out of the engine. That way i wont waste oil by overfilling and there wont be lopsided oil once I stand the sucker up and ride a 10 mile wheelie ;)

I dont have GSXR forks, just the GSXR internals. I have the stock sv650 tubes with gsxr cartridges inside. The svrider.com member "pattonme" performed the work and they are wonderful!

Ill have to try those two bleeding methods you suggested. Thanks. :eek:ccasion14:

I'm jealous of how much you've gotten done in such a short time. It seems to take me 2x-3x the amount of time to get something done compared to so many here. I know I'm doing the stuff for the first time ever (hubby took care of everything), but it gets discouraging when I have to make sure I have a full day available to do the simplist tasks...just in case they turn out to be not so simple.

Can't wait to see the pics.....:lmao:

Pic as promised

^ you've been busy! Great job! Only thing missing is your man-thong. Order one from off1...I hear they are superior in support ;)
Sorry, backordered. My g-string supplier went out of business.

Don't worry about it. I'm a little cynical, but just like the "how much did you pay for..." threads, I tend to believe that most people underestimate the time it takes them to do many mods or maintenance. It takes me longer, too, but that's because I have to triple check everything - I don't trust that guy's work. ;D

OCD=obsessed cycle dude(tte). :lmao:

I replaced my gear shift arm. Two weeks ago I put on a near rear, new chain and sprockets, and a speedoDRD, and haven't been able to do a test ride since. I was waiting for the new gear shift arm to come in, and then went on vacation... I hated putting on a bunch of stuff and not being able to test ride it after installation.

I went down one tooth in the rear. I couldn't tell a difference. Hopefully I can tell a difference at the pump though. Even a mile or two per gallon would be great, especially if I can't tell any difference in acceleration.

I don't know why I waited as long as I did to fix the speedometer. The speedoDRD is probably the best $65 I've spent on my bike. It's nice to look down and not have to do quick math to figure out my real speed. Figuring out a 10% difference isn't difficult, but it gets old. I had to remember not to figure in the error when looking at the speedometer this morning!

I'm a grower not a show'er... I need my bikini! The tail I can live with, reminds me of the paint schemes on the crf250r's and 450r's with the white rear by itself (but black in this case)

I had a spare 45 minutes in an otherwise very busy day. So a quick oil change and adjusted and lubed the chain. Seeing the bike was out I decided to do all my errands and running on the bike :)

sup ya'll

so on Thursday i installed a new battery, after the last one died on me exactly when i needed it the most lol
all through the wknd, untill today (wknd over here is friday - saturday) i was installing my new trail tech vapor stealth and now it's up and running smoothly, RPM and all.

that's all for now, folks :)

Been awhile since I did anything to it but today, after working with the gas tank lid for about 30 minutes to get it open bc it had corroded, got that off, cleaned out the tank, changed the oil, put in a new battery and washed it!! Also installed the wheel chocks on the trailer to bring the bikes to the MotoGP next week!!!
