There may not be a tool kit under the seat... now I'm not about to call you uninformed... but I have spoken with many, many, (gen-2) SV'ers who don't know about that secret one above the chain guard and under the battery on the left side of the bike... I know I didn't initially see it... but the previous owner included the owner's manual and I saw it in there.

Just noticed your post. That's pretty neat. Popped it off and the tool kit was right there. Good to know.

Today I checked the air filter and that sponge in there. Sponge was good, air filter was a little dusty, but nothing to write home about.

PPut it in my pickup and drove it to hotel in preps for NCBike trackday w/ TPM. :D

What did I do on my SV today? Well, I bought it... :D Great bike. (Technically bought it yesterday and have been working on the niggles and naggles today.)

Trying to jack up my forum count to 25 to purchase a WTB 06 Front Fender (Red) right now. Mine's faded on the front.
PLEASE tell me where I can find your fender eliminator!

I can't tell you. The previous owner didn't tell me anything about it. (Home made, which company, where he got it, etc :()

What I did yesterday? New Xenon headlights installed. (Had them on all of my previous bikes. Much better than stockers...)

Looks to me like you can find it at the end of a saw blade. It appears to be the stock fender cut off and then just added a bracket for the plate. Whoever he/she was did a very nice job.

Today, I replaced the old busted rear fender (inner fender?) Referred to as Rear fender no. 1 in the service manual...
Luckily, last week, I just stepped in to the Suzuki dealer next town, and he did have a SV parts bike in the Shop :) It´s fender were in good nick, and reasonable priced so I didn´t hesitate.

Have no idea what P.O. did to accomplish that kind of damage to the old fender, but the fact there is an aftermarket rear shock installed, may be clue. Some horrible rear shock failiure in the past perhaps... :(

Also, I lightened the bike by removing this... Have no idea what it is, but it was chucked down in the compartment under the pillion.

Any ideas what purpose it may serve?

That is used to prop your gas tank up so you don't have to hold it. It sure comes in handy when playing around under the tank.
Clever... Thanks!

Gave it the beans @ NCBike and didn't wreck!!! Wooohoo!!!!
