new chain/sprockets and looked over my tires. was going to wait to order a new set, but they're getting to that point where it really needs to be done.

making the switch from dunlop q2's to pilot road 2's. ive been hearing excellent things about them and hopefully they'll last a bit longer than the 8K miles i get out of the dunlops usually.

I have been very busy with the SV this weekend. I put a new sprocket on the rear, got the cam swap done on the new motor, swapped over the rotor and stator. I put on my new black and red levers. Cleaned the carbs out and stuffing the motor right now. Should be fired up this afternoon!

Hey man. Where abouts are you in Jax? Maybe we can ride sometime, I'm near Fleming Island.

What did I do on my SV today? Well, I bought it... :D Great bike. (Technically bought it yesterday and have been working on the niggles and naggles today.)

Trying to jack up my forum count to 25 to purchase a WTB 06 Front Fender (Red) right now. Mine's faded on the front.

I tried to repair the damage to some wiring from using Scotch Locks. I need to get one of the conductors out of a plug, but can't get it to budge. (It's the tail light lead that goes to a 3 conductor plug.) I want to put some heat shrink tubing over the part of the wire that the Scotch Lock destroyed, but can't get the wire loose from the plug.

Any ideas on how to get the wire loose?

Replaced the low fuel level tank sensor. The old one was NASTY!!! The wires were both disconnected from the caps and the caps look like they went to war. What makes them look like that?
not sure, the ethanol maybe? thats probably whats wrong with mine. i think i might try to go the re-soldering route though.

This one was way beyond re-soldering.

I also changed my oil yesterday to Rotella T6. I went from the Mobil 1 stuff they sell at advance with only 2000 miles on it. Was first impressions are awesome. Its smooth running. I was having an issue with what seems like clutch drag or some kind of horrible grinding noise on take off and low speeds and it has now disappeared. It might sound funny but it also seems like I have gained some power back. But that could be because I'm not trying to avoid that noise that doesn't exist anymore. Overall it's quieter, shifts smoother, and smells different.

Took of the stock bars. Have tusk chub 1/1/8" atv high bend bars on the way with adapters. Also took off rear pads "yikes only about a 1/16 left on thrm" Ordered a air filter and rear pads to. Now just need to get the bars so i can get a measurement for the brake line.
