I put about 100 miles on it this afternoon just to confirm that my gas light is not working. Anyone have a spare level sending unit they want to send me?

Got run off the road and put it in the dirt and broke the left rearset and dented the tank more. Also broke my left side headlight/signal mount. GODDAMM LEFT OF CENTER SENIOR CITIZENS!!!!! I live in snow bird country and I'm bout to pack it up and not ride on the street while they are down for the winter.:angry5::angry4::diaf::facepalm::cussing:
condolences... i left my broken left mirror and some paint on side of the road in exchange for some dirt the other day. you make it out ok? just pride and bike damaged i hope.

Did they just drive off without even noticing? Did you get a plate?
oh yeah. It was like they didn't even notice what happened. Didn't speed up or slow down and by the time I was up and done throwing my helmet across the road I couldn't see their plate any longer. At least I could ride it home.......in third gear the whole way. :angry5: with no left rearset.:diaf:

Got it a friend!!!! :)

Tonight I learned not all CHP are dicks, and that some understand the plight of the commuter motorcyclist.

Suffice to say, I got a quick flash of the spotlight instead of being pulled over after a brief period of speed in getting around a pack of cars.

Atta boy. Glad you found a friendly! :)

Today I started my engine to make sure my battery still functioned properly.
All fun projects on hold due to bent forks ):

i lowered my seat! by removing foam form the center..
the seat is much softer know the before, I like it!! and my feet can touch a little better.. removed ~1" of from from the center. looks the exact same as stock, but when you sit down it sinks further down more and when yout get off the vinal looks wrinkled for a 30 seconds until the foam expands back out again.. the best part of this method is if you don't like it you can just put the foam blocks back in and get it back to stock..

Tip- to put the cover back on with a stapler, use a heatgun to heat the plastic and staples will go in much easier! I used 1/4" T50 (Arrow) with a arrow Electric stapler. Before I used heat gun, the staples would just bend and not go in. .. after then sunk all the way in perfectly
