Stock, as far as I know. But with 30,000 miles and any number of previous owners, who knows.

I lifted the back end up, examined the chain and sprockets, then went and ordered a tool. MY LIFE ROCKS :/ (soon my new tool will make it all better)

Got the new fuel pump in. Apparently the '06 650 doesn't use the same pump as the '04 650. Rewired it to work ('04 has one less wire than '06) and plugged it in. No dice. Tomorrow: chase electrical gremlins. Just hope I don't have to buy another wiring harness...

Started cutting off shovel...Dremel started failing right as I finished...so I'm giving it a break while I play around with ideas on what I want to do before I commit to full removal. Considing cutting more off at top to set plate at angle...definitely don't like the straight vertical look.

Either way, I gotta get it done soon before I go nuts...can't be off my bike for too long.

changed my spark plugs today. it was idling a bit rough before because some water corroded the plug in the front cylinder. now it idles perfectly!

I AM AN IDIOT. The problem wasn't the fuel pump, it was the fact that I didn't have it in neutral, and didn't have the indicator panel hooked up to see it. Oh well... guess I'm putting parts on tomorrow and going for a ride

Yeah, though I bought a new (used) fuel pump to fix it. Oh well... I can use it anyway. I think my old one was on its last leg, based on the terrible whining noise it put out.

Finished cutting off my rear fender...now just gotta finish making my turn signals and mount my plate...will be done by Thursday cuz I need my bike Thursday afternoon...lol

My wife hates the look...I like it...I was just so tired of that fender. It didn't really look bad, but it was one of the things left on my bike that was still stock...almost...lol.

Go black.... or yellow with a black stripe or double stripe... or black with a yellow stripe or double stripe... silver... well the frame is silver but it still seems out of place to me...

I had a 99 SV and when I put on a black windscreen it really improved the look of the bike over the clear....

so... paint it black first and maybe try some stripes later... Stripes always seem to work on the SV.. not sure why

Put a Buell windscreen on. After trying to find matching yellow paint, and being unsuccessful, I figured black was overdone, and decided to go with silver.

...I think it may end up black. It didn't turn out as neat as I thought it would. At least until I can splurge for some correct yellow from color rite.

Yeah, I thought silver would look good, it matched the frame and wheels. But the balance is off.
I painted it black today, will put it back on and take a picture tomorrow.

It will eventually be yellow, I'm just waiting until I get some matching yellow paint. '02 Pearl Lively Yellow is tough to match.

I filled the Scottoiler tank. I'm going to try ATF instead of the blue low-temp oil that came with it. ATF is a lot cheaper.
