I've got the same grips. They've been on for 2-1/2 years and going strong. I've even had them off twice for grip heater install and a bar change. They are still tacky, like when they were new. ProGrip 699 FTW!New Progrips. Me likey.

More cleaning, waxing, preparing for spring.
I washed my bike today. Weeks of salt and dirt was really bothering me. I had to clear an ice clog out of the hose.
It started to rain and blow 20-30mph just as I finished. It's supposed to rain/snow for the next week. Bummer. At least the bike won't be corroding away while it's sitting.

Those go on every bike I've ever owned. Had them on my Zephyr, Sv and are currently on the Buell and the wife's Ninja 250R. They are the most comfortable grips I have found. Tried others and always come back.New Progrips. Me likey.

Was almost decapitated by a homeless man today.
As I was riding my favorite twisties, about 3/4 of the way through the corner, while fully leaned over, I notice a homeless guy walking along the side of the road(right hand turn). I quickly stand the bike up a bit and it feels like my head just misses the guy.
He was probably drunk, and didn't even notice.

Bought a POS Cycle Pirates shift lever and ended up having to mill down the width for the peg bushing attachment piece to fit as well as having to drill it out to a larger ID for the peg bushing attachment piece to go through. It now shifts again however is way shorter than the factory piece and it makes shifting a PITA...

i was going to do drill bits and then an air powered hacksaw. i dont know how steady i will be with it. BUT now that you reminded me of the dremel, i think im going to go to sears and see what kid of cool attachments there are that would help. the little cutting wheels that came with my dremel arent that great.

I just got back from a nice cool ride to break in my new leathers. Brakes were a bit spongy so I decided to bleed them out a bit and replace the fluid.

im actually pretty steady with the dremel. for some reason i want to say the rotory motion helps stabilze it. idk..i just feel like i have alot more contorl over it.

well then all the more power to you, for some reason i usually go the opposite way when i pick up a dremel... i mean i can do a lot with it but when it comes to making a straight line and making it not look like it was gnawed on by a badger i just cant do that with a dremel
