Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

Completely destroyed a contimotion in less than 3k miles. Bought myself an 06 gsxr 750 wheel with a michelin pilot power tire for a good price on ebay. Front sprocket should be in tomorrow, but the rear sprocket on the wheel ended up being 47 tooth and my new chain won't be long enough, so I think I'll just get a 45 tooth for now.

The rim tape that's on there is crappy, but I don't totally hate it. Once I get a black front wheel I might get fluorescent yellow or as close to gold as I can and do both wheels.

In the process of making an exhaust bracket for my 2nd gen without the cargo hook and rear peg mounts.

After cutting off the pieces and grinding/sanding smooth -

Next is blasting, prepping, and powder coating satin black to match the frame and the rest of the brackets on the bike.

Thanks to mad8vskillz for the donor bracket.

After media blasting -

Coated -

Installed -

I need to do the same for my project 1st gen, but it isn't going to be quite as easy with that one.

Replaced the water pump impeller/seals/bearings over the weekend while I had the cover off to put in a new Werks clutch basket. Doing the seals actually had me cussing a little, and it took a LOT longer than I'd thought going in. Not having the proper puller the bearings and seal needed some 'persuasion' to get out with a hammer and punch, and that mechanical seal was IN there! But in the end, we got it done and it doesn't leak...so it's a happy bike now. And it LOVES the new clutch basket! Sucker runs smooth at high revs like an electric motor which it did not do before. Basket must have been wobbling and/or out of balance..both of which the Werks corrected. Just amazing how nice it made the ride...kicking myself for waiting so long to upgrade the basket.

Me too.. I keep waiting for something to pop up. Put 40 miles on the way tonight and it ran great so we will see... Picked it up of a young kid that bought it a month ago and wants something faster. He dropped it twice, broke the shift lever and scratched the tank and yet he wants to upgrade to a GSXR 1000 lol.

Rode the **** out of it for a week, split between my two favourite tracks.

Installed fresh front PR3 on street wheel. Swapped track wheels to street wheels. Put plate on. Put on some lights.

Loaded up gear to provide mobile tire changing services for the wee ninja.

Once fresh scooter tire was on, loaded rest of camping gear...

Eventually mule service was somewhat more distributed.

Tired.

My horn screwed itself loose and rattled against my radiator until it started leaking. Replaced the radiator with a delkevic radiator and I'm keeping the fairings off because I think I'll do a valve clearance check while everythings off. Hard to believe just two years ago I knew nothings about mechanic work. Slowly but surely I've learned how to replace brakes, brake fluid, tps adjustment, coolant, rear shock, front fork oil and springs, and now I can add radiator replacement to the list! Feels good now that the bikes no longer a mystery box that turns fuel into fun and noise.;D;D
