Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

Copper '03: Adjusted out the the hall effect sensor so it doesn't pick up every piece of metal on the rotor, just the rare earth magnets. Speedo now reads EXTREMELY accurate. I feel like I'm speeding everywhere now because I'm used to a speedo that reads too high. (kinda backwards, I know)

Red '99: finally got it fully road legal by passing inspection. It's about ready to sell.

rode into work in the pouring rain and looked like a drown sewer rat by the time I made it. Do this once every year, where I say "man that really sucked."

My emulators arrived, so in they went: Stock springs, spacers cut 1/2", 2 turns on the emus, 125mm air space with 20wt oil, brazed rebound hole (I knew there was a higher purpose for my MAPP gas torch than using it to light cigars), and existing compression holes drilled out 7/16" (no extra holes). Seems very nice so far. I'm riding 90 miles tomorrow, so we'll see. I gotta adjust the sag and think about what to do with the rear end (ABS bike: no piggybacks, ZX or 636 will fit).

Put rubbing compound and wax on my tail section. Reinstalled the tail section(Finally).
Hooked up my new GSXR rectifier. Soldered it this time.
When I installed the Battery back in I found out that it's toast. So I put my stock back in until tomorrow when I can swap out the old one. (Lifetime Warrranty);D
Installed some new grips.
It's ready for the road. I'll test it tomorrow before I go to work. Then I can start setting up my new to me 636 shock.

I caved to convenience and paid the shop to do the initial service. I mentioned the brakes felt a little spongy and asked them to bleed them. I also mentioned that I had been looking for just the right bolt and washer to fill the holes where I removed the mirrors.

When I picked it up, the brakes were significantly improved, and they had found the bits for which I was looking for the mirror mount holes. No charge for either. The service itself certainly wasn't cheap, but it was nice of them to do the little extra.

Shameless plug for Cycle Sport, Alexandria, VA.

Clean and lubed chain, replaced return rad hose, move the Vapor temp sensor closer to rad, reset time on the Vapor (hadn't changed it since DST), put some air in the tires and washed and waxed the bike.

I finally picked up my left sideview mirror. I talked to my parts guys earlier and they ordered the mirror, problem was when it came in I picked it up, took it home, opened it up and "What the F---!!!" It was some square chrome sideview that didn't look a thing like the right one. So I called them up, and they were like "Oh, weird, we're going to have to make some calls." About two weeks later, I finally have my mirror. Now I just need to figure out what I did with the bolts...

Hi tlc, pictures? And yes, of the bike.

Rode to the beach today to break-in new gloves that I bought. I was going, man these gloves don't feel right, not like my other gloves, blah blah blah. After stopping at the doughnut shop, I ride home, the gloves feel alright like I just got used to them now?!

I cleaned and lubed the chain, did not wash the bike because I have a 360+ mi ride Sunday. I am ready, this will be my longest ride.
