Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

Your a ways from me. I live in Denton but I have a press for that, If you cant find someone close ship it to me.
I could have you a custom triple made but that will be in the 250-300 range, just an option

I might have to take you up on the bearing press. I'd gladly pay for shipping both ways. Is it something similar to this?

And I'm hoping that the upper triple isn't bent. If it is, I might be making the change to clipons, lol. It doesn't look like it (unlike the lower triple which was all sorts of crooked), but I'll find out when I try to slide in the forks I'll eventually buy.

Installed my new rear rotor! Its nice not hearing squeeks everytime I use the rear break now.

Also took my bike to the traxxion dynamics open house. Saw lots of bikes, walked around the shop (super nice by the way), ate some bbq, heard some bands and watched my buddy Aaron Twite destroys some tires. This guy can ride, which I guess is why he gets to travel the world and do so...

if you notice in this first pic his kick stand is down. for his finish he slides in sideways, flips his kickstand down, jumps off the bike, and lands standing up with his bike standing up behind him. I missed the shot with him in the air but you get the idea.

Worthless

Rockrat, sorry I never knew you cared.
This is for an SV1000 not a 650.
The bigger motor is not as smooth as the 650. It also had an annoying vibration around 6000 revs. I surmised it was the spark retard in the first three gears and a corresponding leaner mixture. Was right on both counts. 5 degree retard.
Not everyone can reprogramme the ECU, but Nels can.
So with the timing advanced and the fuel supply adjusted, the vibration has mostly gone.
By the numbers from memory. The tach lies, shows about 11,000 revs when actually at 10,200 WOT. 152 mph, 108 hp and around 65 pounds of torque, flat across most of the rev range. Later we will try for 120 rear wheel hp and 75 torque. Whether the actual top speed matches the dyno, depends on wind resistance needing 108hp to do 152, or whether Bluzu may go a bit faster.
There are extra revs available, or maybe one more teeth on the rear sprocket.
But 150 plus is plenty fast enough. I have been close and Bluzu had lots of steam left.
There were several SV650s at The Ridge race track in WA, but zero SV650 non racers. One bike has been enlarged to 700 plus cc. runs well.

I pulled the top brake line off my '01 650 naked. I had installed Daytona bars and bar risers at the end of the summer last year and the brake line was tighter than I liked. Will stop at Earl's on Gasoline Alley on the way to work tomorrow morning and get a custom line made up.

Should be able to get it reinstalled just in time for temps to drop this weekend.
