600 mi maintenance last night (8/20).

Getting ready to ride tomorrow, but here is a recap of my bike so far:
7/26/08 - Brought home my new gray 08 SV650A
8/9/08 - GI Pro gear indicator and aTRE (homemade bracket)
8/10/08 - Installed Spidergrips
8/12/08 - Installed OEM fender eliminator (had to put a bead of silver silicone on the 1/4in gap between the brakelight and undertray with FE)
8/18/08 - Received my seat back from Spencer (LD honeycomb foam upgrade)
8/19/08 - Fiamm Freeway Blaster Horn (homemade bracket)
8/21/08 - Tonight, I'll install my just received Radiator Guard

Stuff not yet received:
SW-Motech handlebar 1" riser
Bikemaster Daytona handlebar (don't know if I'll do riser or Daytona first, or which one I'll end up keeping)
Laminar Lip
NEP CC-4 throttle lock
Oh, and this: http://www.motorcyclejacks.com/adapter.shtml Once I receive it, I can figure out how to make it work with my SV and my Harbor Freight ATV/moto jack.

Adjusted the clutch
Went for a ride
Adjusted the clutch again after realizing I didn't do nearly as good of a job as I wanted.
Changed the oil
Washed it
Cleaned & lubed the chain and cut my finger when I stopped paying attention and got it caught between the chain and sprocket
Went riding some more :)

Nothing yet....told myself I couldn't ride/play with the SV until I finished my chores :(...put reflective rim strips on the wheels yesterday though :D

Rode to work on a nice cool morning, rode it home...But instead of turning in to my neighborhood I kept going and explored roads I had no idea where they went...Ended up going down a tiny road surrounded by farms...decided to turn around and still was lost...found some cool twisties and then found my way back...took an extra 40 minutes...shucks...also put a new windscreen on...does the color variance look odd?

;D and fender elim. in the mail

did some maintenance the other day...oil and oil filter, idle adjustment. clutch felt a little "funny"....so I went to work on it. did the clutch adjustment under the sprocket cover, lubed the clutch cable (I use this), and adjusted the clutch cable to the perfect slack. then, I realized that the clutch lever and its pivot were a bit lacking of grease...so I just put some grease I had lying around on it (something I bought for greasing U-joints on cars)....holy mama! clutch feels like butter now! I think the greasing of the pivot/lever did more than anything else.

chopt...where in louisiana are you? I'm in west monroe.

My Scorpion "Street Extreme" came in this morning. I went home early for lunch and had it installed in 15-20 mins.

Woow, you sold the bike for a ring? Please don't tell me it's an engagement ring? You couldn't make payments on the ring? Did you at least get a key to box where she has your "nuggets" locked up? ;D
