Installed gsxr front end with new springs, r6 calipers with brembo mc and braided lines, and an ohlins rear shock... The difference is extraordinary!
I remember the difference when I did my GSX-r forks and shock, it was like riding a real race bike compared to the 4 years or so I spent on the un-altered stock suspension. ;D I wish I had an ohlins shock... Lucky! Post up some pics.

Rode over to Floyd Bennett Field and shook down the bike with some quick and short power runs to check everything. Didn't go over board with anything. I had to adjust the speedo sensor because it was just knicking the magnet.

Now going back out to get a bite to eat in the North Side of Bklyn.

changed the oil and filter. pulled top triple and bars off again to reroute some cables and wiring. put some blue zip ties around front brake lines and speedo line. torqued triple clamps, steering stem head nut, brake caliper bolts, axles, and bar clamp mounts.

after it died every time i pulled the clutch in or put in neutral on the way to class today, i finally made it home and adjusted the idle. i think someone f'ed with it yesterday. it ran great for a few mintues until it reached op temp and auto enrichener shut off, then it would die unless i was on the throttle with clutch in. got the idle dialed in now.

Measured/cut the spacers for new springs, went to put the new fork oil in only to find out the bottle I bought had been opened and put back on the shelf:mad:

Note to Self: Check fluid container integrity before buying.

Thanks for the tip, although I'm sure that wasn't your intention.

Yesterday I installed 3 items produced and sold by members of this forum: Steve's aTRE, mrk66's QR tank pins and seat cover set, and Bighammer's tank grips. I'm very happy with all 3 and recommend anyone on the fence about any of them to bite the bullet and go for it.
