Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

I'm not sure. I sure am gonna miss that bike, I had some really great adventures on it. And it sounded so damn good. Just hope I can find another one some day that runs as well as that one did. hopefully with a black frame this time :D

I have a little work to do on the FZ, headlight brackets and powdercoating the rearsets, etc. Gonna ride that for a little while and see what I think. I most likely will be selling the FZ and using the SV and FZ funds to buy a Street Triple R. and as per my "not a sv" thread, I'm looking for a smaller fun city/rides-alongside-the-gf's-bike bike.

The SV was a great bike. I will really, really miss it. I know I will own another one someday.

Because two flat spots are better than one?

removed my frozen calipers, either buying used ones off the board or rebuilding them.

Degreased and lubed the chain.
Coolant flush
Oil Change.

Learning as I go. The bikes condition is upsetting me (impulse buy of first motorcycle) so I either get rid of it or make it something i'm proud to be on, then again on a 2001 with a rebuilt title I cant exactly get any money out of it that I put in it. Can't sell it without brakes, old oil, old coolant anyways.

Cleaned the chain, unclogged my Scottoiler, and then I put about 120 miles on her today! We had some snow in the morning, but the temps warmed up and the roads were great, so I went out riding! It felt good. It's been quite awhile since I've actually been out on a fun ride (ie. not just commuting).

She's filthy and covered in road grime... Just the way I like her!

Today I picked up my brand-new valve shims and then installed them. The cams chains tensioners all that crap got put back on. I but my baby up all the way through the valve covers......

My new M4 full race mount exhaust is supposed to be here next Tuesday, along with the proper clamps for my Samco hoses. The carburetors are all rejected and ready to go in. Tomorrow I think I'm going to book some dyno time for next weekend in the hopes of having her all complete and ready to go for then....

What did I do to my SV today? Well, to start with, I'm a dumbass. I left the key in the ignition with it turned to on. A kind neighbor informed me of this after only about 30 minutes or so, so it fortunately still had juice left to start it up. So I started it up and left it idling to charge the battery back up. Nearly three hours later and I realized it was still running. Dolt! It now has a solid yellow fuel light after only 130 miles. Oh well, at least the battery is charged!

Now where did I put my short-term memory again?

Very true. At least this way I can ride to the gas station on the way in, rather than having to stop and fill up a gas tank... Of course, I don't know how much gas I have, and maybe I'll only make it halfway there and then have to hoof it. :lmao:

Does it even charge when the engine is idling?

Yep. Sure does. I've tested this with a multimeter in the past.
