Changed engine oil
Cleaned and greased chain.
Discovered that the chain is loose as a pornstar.
I'll need a new chain soon.
Tried to start it, nothing.
Jumpstarted it. Came alive in 5-6 attemps.
Turned it off. Tried to turn it on again, nothing.
Charged the battery for 1½ hour at 8A.Will see tomorrow if it'll starts
I think the battery is toasted dark roast.
The missmeteo is f**** drunk since last week.
I don't know if i'll bring my SV back home tomorrow...
Couple things -

If you are planning to change the oil anyway, do it before storage not after.

8A is too much charge rate for a cycle battery.

All the oil was in the pan, sitting there for 4 months. No biggie there.

Battery is toast anyway, so i tried to give it a shot at 8A.

I have a new battery coming this afternoon, i'll be ready to go!!

That's not the only place it's sitting. It (dirty oil) is also sitting on the top-end parts like cams and bearings. You want fresh oil - without moisture and acids - coating those parts during storage.

As far as the battery, be careful, it may do more than just give it a shot charging at 8A for 1 1/2 hours.

Just sayin'.

Yeah, dosen't harm to change oil before storing.

Got a new battery, old one was 5 years old.

Now I'm waiting on winter to get out of the way..

Finally installed the shift rod for my new rearsets and took for a little test ride. First ride of the year on April 1 - un-freaking-believable. Oh well, things can only get better from here (at least I hope).

Put the bike back together and rode it to work and then I got some electrical tape to cove up all those white frame stickers.

What tank pads are these?

New Plugs
New Oil and filter
new motion pro r6 throttle tube (no cutting required)
new grips
new ride it moto levers.
new shifter pedal
desnorkled my intake

drove it around a bit for the first time this year.

chooched it... yeeaahhhh!

Absolutely nothing... it went from dry roads finally with no ice and almost ready to ride weather to this in the span of 24 hours...

Oh.. and if you can't tell... those things hidden in the snow clouds are supposed to be a nice panoramic view of the rocky mountains over the houses in the distance...

Maybe I'll cook myself a nice steak on the bbq tonight instead of going for a ride..... oh... wait... guess I'll have to turn to something else..

Finally got everything done I wanted to...
Drilled top triple and installed newly painted handlebar clamps
Took off clip-ons and installed new handlebar
Put on N length throttle cables, clutch cable, brake lines.
Changed brake fluid and bled brakes, adjusted clutch.
Pulled forks, dropped in Ricor Intiminators with new 5 weight fork oil.
Lubed chain, went for a short ride.
Love the Intiminators, much stiffer front ride, easy on the bumps and drastically better on brake diving. I definitely prefer the more upright riding position of the handlebars but it definitely feels different than the clip-ons did. I had to get rid of the grip warmers to switch it all out... bit of a bummer will need to buy new ones and reinstall, but not until I get the R6 tube in. Now I just need the 636 rear shock and I'll have nothing left to do... (except ride :) ).

New battery, bike is finally home.

I'll ride the hell out of it!!

NOT!

Too much sand, rocks, melting snow, stupid car drivers who haven't seen a bike in 4-5 months...

Don't forget those pot-holes that are hidden by water from the melt and just look like puddles... but are actually 3 feet deep!

Synced my throttle bodies, installed the TRE, K&N air filter, cut down the yoshi pipe, remapped my PC and took it for a rip...

I <3 my bike so much, lol.

Got my new Continental Conti Motion ST tires on! Whew! It's 92 degrees right now... I'm glad I didn't have to do that in the summer! :D
So how do you like em? I haven't scraped the pegs yet, but i know I will once it warms up and stays warm.

What did I do to my sv today? I got it impounded. Apparently I never registered it last year...
Sorry to hear that. Hope the fee isn't too much.

As for what I did today, I peeled off my tank center pad cuz it was so dang easy....then realized I hadn't bought a replacement for it. I wanna get the Stomp Grip Spine to match my side pads.
