what about brake hose? and electrical wires?? they are protaper bars so they are a little different from stock OEM bars.
Well, brake lines are a must but i used stock throttle cables using clamps risers and a very high handlebar but no problems even electricals worked

Well, the Michelin Pilot Road 2 front tire finally needed to be retired. I changed it out for a Shinko 011 Verge. Any time I change tires, I check bearings, lube the axle seals and clean and lube the axle.

I used my modified Harbor Freight tire changer and Mojo Lever to get the job done. Dyna Beads made short work of balancing and worked great, as usual.

I went out for a quick 60 mile ride to start the break in process. It never felt squirrelly (I respect new tires til they get several rides on them), although it got pushed to about 80% of my normal pace. The Verge is a good tire. I've got one on the back, so now I have matching rubber front and rear. It handles differently than the Road 2, with quicker turn in. If it's as good as the back tire (which is great) then I'll be a happy camper.

Installed tank with fresh gas.
Fired it up in my garage for the very first time. Runs rough, maybe just a fouled plug, but could also be a clogged carb jet. I'll find out tomorrow. When I pull the plugs.
Radiator flush.

thanks for sending the PM. i tried rerouting the cables through the right side but i just don't like the bend it puts in the cable by the throttleboddies. i wouldn't feel comfortable routing them over the top of the frame between frame/tank.

Installed shorty clutch and brake levers. So much nicer. I got the knock-offs off of eBay for $40 for the pair.

I also installed a Suzuki Carbon Fiber Key Guard.

Dying to start it up, the gasket sealant cured overnight so I should be good to go![/quote]

That was a clean ass cut, my came out a little curved.

Much less likely to snap the ends in a tip-over, too.

My cut looks like it was done by an axe-murderer.

Finished tearing down the motor, replaced every bearing and seal in it, and started reassembly. Here is where I stopped for the night, too tired to continue :p

No a problem. I had it like that for 10 months and not a scratch on the frame or jerkiness feeling. Now i put a gsxr front end using stock clipons but still looking for some touring option.
