Started painting my wheels. Will finish tomorrow.
what kind of paint are you using?

I hung my bike, and took out the old shock and started to install my ne gsxr shock, and realized i didnt have the bottom bolt, so i went and ordered on form local shop should finish next week. Also stated paint my other fairing and changed my paint design again

Parked it on the side of the road and talked nicely to the officer while he wrote me a ticket.

stared at her while I walked into the house... Need to get a few more miles on her before I head out the door to the desert...

Just some cheapo spray paint. I'm getting tired of the silver look and wanted to do flat black which will go well with the other bits I had painted. I'm sure it will chip later on but i'll have some money for powdercoat when that happens

okay, thanks Dobbs. I cracked her open this morning and redid the adjustment. There was no gap at all, so, with a bit of a burned hand/knuckles, I loosened the nut and adjusted the gap. I first took a reading from the front cylinder, then adjusted the back to match, double checking against the front just to be sure. Once the adjustment was done, I checked the gap and adjusted it again, then rechecked the balance. My vacuum pressure is now around 8.9 for each cylinder and as best as I can tell, my gap is exactly at .007". Thanks for all your help and tutoring. btw, that stop screw is a PITA to get to. I couldn't tell if it was a hex drive or not, but once I loosened the nut, I could turn the screw by hand.
i'm sorry but i keep forgetting steps in the process...when you checked the throttle lever gap you had the bike on right? it is different when it's on/off. you just have to have the ignition, and killswitch in the run position bike doesn't actually have to be running.

glad to hear you're figuring things out. you learn a lot when you miss a step or do something wrong. do you have a copy of the service manual? pm me if you don't.

LOL...i was wondering about that....I did all the adjusting while it was running...lol..hence the burned knuckles and hands...the frame gets really hot. Thanks again. PM sent

Well, this was last night but, I loosened the tube handle bar and rotated it rearward a bit in affect dropping it a couple of inches and moving the controls back too. It's makes it a bit sportier ride... not so upright.

Then just adjusted the controls(levers, ignition, killswitch, horn... all that) to my liking. Then re-adjusted the throttle and brake...

Then rotated mirrors to be useful again. Tighten everything and BAM!

Looks and feeels much better.

-removed my (once beautiful) busted windscreen
-swapped out the broken clutch lever
-put on a used front fender
-drilled the shifter peg to put a bold through it
-rode it down the block

overall, it was a good day

sv1k snorkel in preparation for PCIII, some custom barman handlebars I found. Tomorrow - pull top triple tree, reinstall headlight brackets, and finish handlebar switch.

Friday night: slapped on a new Pilot Power Pure rear tire.
Saturday: scrubbed in said tire, arrived home to find new Shorty levers in the mailbox, Installed levers :)

Dropped it on the left side, front fairing has a 1 inch crack in it. Busted the mirror, turn signal and clutch lever.

Too much gas in fresh lawn resulted in this little mishap...

So this is time for flushmount front turn signals and black levers! And a stock mirror...I don't sh*t $$$..

Saturday: Took it in for service.

Sunday: Changed the oil.
