2 coats of wax. cleaned and adjusted the chain. tried bending the reat seat cowl bracket so the cowl itself would sit more flush and tight. the filler pieces fit better but the cowl itself isn't any better. i've got like a half inch gap all around and the back part of it sticks up/out a lot. any ideas how to fix this gap? i've seen some that have hardly no gap.
post up some pics. i think you may be able to cut down the mounts with a dremel and use shorter screws.

i'll take and post pics tomorrow. i pulled the bracket off (3 10mm) to see if it was different or something, nothing. tried pulling the rubber grommets cushion things out but i nearly tore it in two so i left it.

the whole thing is just loose. every part of it, the front and the back and both sides can move a quarter inch in both directions. i was really stoked for the cowl to make the back end look real smooth and flow well but it's just become an eyesore to me. i can't help but stare at the huge gap. it's frustrating. i'll post pics tomorrow after class.

I changed my shifter to GP style for easier upshift feel. It is amazing if you remember what way your shifting. I had one down shift on accident so far. I also installed a 2 port usb charger under the gas tank under the frame rail so i can plug in things like my gps and iphone. Good day so far, need to order grip heaters.

Took apart the integrated tail light to figure out where the ballast resistor that was rattling around the bottom came from. Well, they glued the crap outta the wiring and boards so you can't really service it without tearing it apart....so after breaking some wires and solder points and re-soldering them, I found out one side of the tail/brake lights didn't work and I was getting hot...so I said screw it, and swapped the clear lense of my integrated with the red lense of my stocker and put my stocker back on.

I like the look much better. I'm gonna order some more 10mm LEDs and rebuild the other tail light into a red-only integrated brake/tail/turn light.

Rode her to work at 530am this morning. High 40's and no sun really wakes you up first thing in the morning.

hey man, what ever happened with this? Where's the pics?

Installed a Scorpion Street Extreme slip-on exhaust.

Finally got around to changing my fork springs and oil. I put in the .85 Sonic springs with 15w fork oil. The bike now feels more stable. Apart from the obvious less dive on braking there's a much better feel at lean while cornering.

Nothing to the SV per se', just built some shelves in the garage to try and organize for the upcoming winter. Hoping to start work on the CB (getting a parts bike next weekend) and do some TLC to the SV. Hung up the last of the drywall to cover the insulation on the walls, organized SV stuff from piles everywhere onto two shelves, a shelf for CB parts, and started tackling the workbench that had been a dumping ground for anything and everything all summer long.

hope to get some sort of ceiling in place and hook up the heater before snowfall.

Anyone need two 24x36 pieces of heavy copyboard glass or a high end mirror of the same size? Don't remember where they came from, but I have them, and they're in my way.
