I can't believe the sound difference with that pipe. Sounds deep and mean

Dude.. you have got to try the sitting on it in your garage (or parking stall) and making vroom vroom put put put put vrooooom sounds whilst wearing goggles circa 1945 for a good hour or so.... you can even fart on it at the same time if you like...

nothing is better!

Instead of that... today I drove mine to work today.. smeared some bug guts on it... got some crow sh!t on it, drove it hard and put it away wet

If you all were wondering, I farted on my seat yet again.

Oh, and the new tires and stands came in. Tires will be swapped soon...

...then the farting on the seat will commence soon after.

I took the fairings off of mine. It looks cool but this winter i am going to take all of the plastics off and get them repainted. I rode it around b4 work 2. Washed it 2. Thats all for today.

My buddy for a few cans of Honda Cleaner and he cleaned his R1 and I clean my SV and both look brand new. That cleaner is AMAZING btw.
That new Delkevic pipe I got shined up nice.

Installed Pazzo shorty levers, don't like the size of the clutch.

If anyone has Black long Pazzo levers and wants shortys or even just a short pazzo clutch and wants to swap for a long, send me a PM.

ra

Okay, so I was on my way to work today on my sv going about 45, and at the last second theres this guy in a van pulling out of his drive way really fast. I had to slam on the brakes and swerve into the other lane. So happy that I did not dump the bike. Then it rains when I am at work ... sweet that sucked, rode home.

Last week I began to feel my R6 throttle tube begin to ride over the close stop and start feeling a little sticky*. Apparently my whazoo fix for this didn't quite take. Yesterday, I pulled it off and confirmed it was basically shot, so I reinstalled the stock one. This morning, things felt a slack on throttle opening, so I just adjusted the play in the cable, and now (pending test ride) it's as good, if not better than new.

Just out of curiosity, I index marked a couple pieces of tape, and put one on the grip and one on the bar end so the marks lined up with the throttle closed. Then I twisted the throttle fully open, and to my surprise saw the entire range was close enough to 1/4 turn that I don't see myself buying another R6 tube.

*CanyonChasers information on this swap contains a warning that the "S" model housing is different and that the R6 tube is not really recommended for these bikes because exactly what happened to me is likely. That's what I get for not completely reading his post. :tard:

same thing happened to mine.

on another note. Had some new qualifiers put on this past week and getting them broken in.

yesterday; Washed, waxed, cleaned and adjusted chain, fiddled with a cranky driving light, and gave up on the thought of fixing the throttle side heated grip. The ground lead is snapped clean off where it is soldered to the plastic. I'll just order a new pair and replace the one, keeping the other as a spare. This time, I will be a little smarter in install a quick disconnect of some sort behind the headlight.

Speaking of the driving light, I just figured out why PIAA h3 bulbs are so ****ed expensive. It has nothing to do with coatings, clarity of glass, lumens or any of that rot. It's the very short hot lead. The Sylvania's that I put in there were a quarter of the cost for the pair as one PIAA. However, the Sylvania's have a standard length lead, which needs coiled around and tucked into the minuscule 004xt housing. They inevitably end up touching something way too hot and the insulation is starting the char. Next set will be shortened before installation.

installed my swingarm motosliders, re-did my t-rex frame sliders, and pondered furiously about the imminent valve adjustment check coming up since i'm at 11,560 miles. :(
