I installed my new billet rear brake res. Made in PA by Jim. I found his email on the Busa forums. rightseat (a) hotmail (dot) com and it comes with a Brembo seal kit. I'm not 100% sure it would fit with the stock line, but since I wasn't using it, I didn't try to make it fit.

Finally got my Jake Wilson special Pilot Powers on today... funny the bike now feels like it actually wants to turn and lean... even when new the stock tires were still hard to turn the bars when stopped and it wanted to sit upright but not so much now...

Now all I have to do is keep off the throttle too much and lean it too hard before the tires break in...

I'm not sure yet if they are as good as the Conti Road Attacks were.. but I just got em on.. time will tell..

swapped out for pilot powers for my dunlop roadsmarts. pulled sprocket carrier and cleaned. pulled the cush drives and cleaned them. cleaned and relubed both axles. axle bearings and seals were a little crusty, they could be replaced. chain didn't need any adjustment so i left it. tomorrow i'm going to torque everything down and start prepping the bike for my 2000mile trip to Sturgis.

figured out why my brake light was staying on

i thought i had the switch out of the way after i put on the rearsets, guess not. it flopped onto the rear pipe at some point.

now it's cut and moved securely out of the way until i do a pressure switch.

Looked at it while I got on my ZX6R 636...

Basically I got ready for my ride to N.Y. coming up Saturday.

Checked air filter, cleaned, lubed and checked tension on the chain, head light came a little loose, tightened that up and checked the oil.

Also made a bar mount for my old kodak camera with a old, cheap tripod I *******ized. Mounted it to the old stock clutch side mirror mount by cutting, grinding and drilling a old mirror stalk for the riser and cold welding the tripod mount parts to the riser I made. I'll see if it works, it seems like it will, only time will tell. ???

New tires! Bridgestone Battlax BT-023. Jeopardy98 installed them for me. I got to ride 40 miles on the way home. What a HUGE difference over my Metzlers. These are going to allow me to get a knee down finally!

Over the weekend I set the throttle valves (with a digital caliper) and then synced the throttle bodies. Since it was the first time, it was kind of a pain, but next time it will go a lot better.

I made an instrument to check the throttle body vacuum like the one below, cost me about $8. If you make one, I would suggest that you use at least 15 feet of tubing; it's easy to cut it down if it's too long, but it's really hard to make it grow if it's too short. I used all 15 feet and it allowed me more room to work around the bike when I was using it. I used ATF for the fluid because it looks more official and cool than brown oil.

The article on how to make one is here.

Well since I already got the front torn apart, figured I might as well rip off the valve covers and do a shim check. needless to say all I did was take the covers off and got the front cylinder lined up . 13 hour day today so I'm done till tomorrow.
