Today I worked on installing my 636 shock, but hit a roadblock trying to get the dogbone bolts out, broke two 14mm sockets and learned came close to rounding them off. Learned some stuff though so I guess it's not a total loss. Impact driver here I come!

Fresh oil and filter, cleaned and lubed the chain, scraped, scrubbed and otherwise cleaned all the nooks and crannies that normally don't get cleaned. Wax her tomorrow, adjust the clutch and put the chin fairing back on, hopefully in time to get a nice ride in.

Yesterday I installed a Traxxion AK-20 cartridge kit and new Michelin Pilot Power Pures. I'm off for a ride this morning to play with the damping adjustments and hopefully get it dialed in.

installed 145 main jets, but still ran like garbage. so threw in the 150s i bought just in case!! Then did the TRE mod and whala, Now shes back to runnin like a champ ;D

Dyno'ed it. Needed a baseline for the racebike. Wanted to see where it stands now before I start fooking with it. Stock bike. Delkelvic slip on. Stock air box/air filter/ stock everything cept race gizmos. Yes I know. all dyno's are different.. blah blah. It was for the A/F mixture.

She's a little lean on the end but, pretty smooth overall. It needs a little bit of touch up but, it'll do for now. I wish there was an ECU hack for the SV650.

I been using the Boost by smith ecu program for the Turbo Busa and it's fooking awesome. This would be badass if I could use it on my SV650. .. hint hint.

Went for my first longish ride yesterday. 344 miles roundtrip from Denver to Bishop's Castle in a group ride. The gel seat was pretty good and I got about 55mpg overall. That was my first group ride in quite a while and was pretty fun.

Spent 2 hours detailing it after getting caught in the rain riding around town. Looks good as new now.

Washed it yesterday.....got pulled over to today for a "random licence check"

Must be too pretty!

Hahah.. what you've never had this happen to you before?

Every spring from now until somewhere around stampede time... or when the street cleaners have finished clearing the roads... the cops always do this crap...

it gives them an excuse to ticket bikes... 0 tolerance they say for safety... so any minor infraction can get ticked if the cop is Nazi enough...

Generally it is just to make sure the bike is insured and registered and you have the proper permit to drive a bike... they also generally give it the once over for obvious infractions like the hidden license plate down behind the tire or non functional signal lights etc...

I've been pulled over a few times in past years... but generally they let me go without issue as I try to keep the bike legal
