I was going to order some of those from him, but then some unexpected costs (finishing getting my new place built) happened, so motorcycle parts had to stop for a few months. How do you like his parts?

I gotta tell you I like 'em. I mean I only just got them, but so far they seem good. They're pretty high quality material, installation is a snap, and they include instructions if you're the type that has 11 thumbs. They really only reduce one step of the tank lift/removal process but I like that they help reduce the risk of scratches on the tank. I honestly hated having to do it because of how I had to contort my hands and/or use the other as a shield to get those little bolts off. Plus they add a li'l "bling" to that area.
And shipping was rocketship fast. I paid for them on Tuesday. They arrived at my house in NY from MN on Saturday.
Yesterday:
Adjusted chain tension. Cursed at needing to spend another few hundred dollars on new chain and sprockets. Only 7k miles on the bike and it's stretched out in some spots.
Put in the springs and emulators which involved a trip to three shops in search of fork oil, two trips to the hardware store (brazing rods and an eyebolt) and a trip to the auto parts store (come along).
Re-installed the forks 7mm higher in anticipation of my 70 series tire that will be here in a few days.
Today:
Spent a bit of time admiring the bike with the fairing off, and considered converting to N.
Finished putting all the stuff back on- wheel, calipers, fairing, etc. Cursed at windshield rubber expando bolts.
Took a trip to Sears to return the $40 worth of tools that I had to buy to get a T25 security bit to do the TPS adjustment last week. Cursed at Sears.
Realized that I didn't tighten the bolt that holds the damper rods in place before I put the wheel back on. Cursed some more.
Checked the UPS tracking info for my front tire, as well as the weather. Realized it doesn't matter if I didn't tighten it, because I'm not going to ride tomorrow anyways. Cursed at weather.
Opened the package of 100 grommets that I had to order to properly mount my hugger and cursed some more because I have 98 extra grommets. I stuck in on there last week with no grommets, but I pulled it off and did it right. Anyone need any grommets that fit a 1/2" hole?
And finally, I washed it. I got caught in a t-storm on my way home a few days ago so it was covered in ****.

Finished reshaping and reupholstering my pilot seat. Last time, I put the gel pad over stock foam after shaving foam down. After 300 mile trip, my butt was still sore and took a month to heal. This time, I added to the width (15" wide now), put gel pad on the bottom with 2" foam above it. Much more comfortable but kinda mushy...like sitting on a waterbed. I may have to redo it by wrapping gel pad in vinyl just so glue will stick to it.
I also washed it and cleaned the wheels...they're actually SILVER! lol

New cables, and in the process replaced the screws that hold the choke cable in the carbs and had one of the springs in the choke mechanism shoot across my garage. I cannot believe i found it.

Eager to hear how you like them. I've been eying those and a set of knock off Pazzos for some bling.
I gave her a quick touchup with Plexus and also cleaned, lubed, and adjusted my chain. Something about a clean chain...just love it. Any one else used this?
I was amazed at how well it worked.
**Edit - Just did a quick search, the only other mention I could find was way back on page 603 of this thread, by Mg66. It's good stuff, maybe I'll throw up a dedicated thread.

I remember thinking the same thing. For some reason the pic makes it look like they're flimsy. They're not. It's a very stout item.

Well, everytime I attend a track day I hear some SVs that sound pretty cool and I get the itch to buy an aftermarket pipe. I am not fan of loud but I do appreciate a good low rumble and when on the pipe I like to hear em spool up.
So I broke down and looked at pipes last night, after extensive past research I have wanted a LeoVince with the EVO II db silencer. Got on Pipe City and they are on-sale, so I pulled the trigger, should be here on Friday, hope to install sometime next week.
They are listed at $299 with no tax and no shipping costs. Pretty good deal I think.
I hope it provides what I want without being too Loud.
