Redid my fender eliminator - the first one I made worked, but the plate kept getting hit by the tire and mangled, and the turn signals stuck too far out and made using my helmet hooks a pain in the ass. Both problems are now solved, though!

Rode to work. Going to adjust the chain tonight. Waiting for my spare front rim so I can take the set to get powder coated before Indy to put my Strada's back on soon.

 

Changed to heavy duty fork oil (read heavier than 20wt), took two hours last night. I'm super anal about making sure everything fits right and is lined up perfectly.

 

Switched out my damaged and partially non-working headlight with an Aztec8 7". Pretty happy that it's smaller all around, especially since I plan on, sometime down the road, making some new brackets for it that snug it up a bit closer to the forks.

I also like how, since they're narrower (just had to flip the brackets around) I can barely see the headlight past my gauges when riding, when before I saw a massive, black glob of plastic.

 

Rode it ~300 miles to Cedar Point and back.

 

Put some of that Seafoam stuff in the tank, really seems to have smoothed out the idle. Oh yeah I road her to work and back home!! 53 miles baby!!!!

 

I rode to work, where she sat comfy in her corner in the shop waiting for me to come back. I rode her home but on the way stopped for some much needed ole' 93 and she was thirsty too. now she is waiting for tomorrow

and just so it's clear, i was not bashing the brit bikes, in fact i said i would contemplate owning another, but to deny that they a finicky and prone to "need work" is pure denial. i like your triumph, it's quite sharp... but i guarantee you will spend more time on maintenance with the triumph than i will with the sv.

btw. it's a good thing you can have the engine on the bench in an hour considering the frequency it will need to be there ;D

I took it to West Coast GP Cycles in SM for installation of a set of RT springs and emulators, an Ohlins shock, and of a set of BT016's. When it gets back, I'm going to scrub the tires in, install some ASV levers and its off to the canyons this weekend.

 

Mine has no wheels and is covered in a brown tarp.

Rode it to an aquarium club meeting, brought home 15# of fancy aquascaping rocks in the tankbag. Then rode to a Community Fair and won a stuffed animal and carried it home peaking out of my jacket.

Went for my Sunday ride, it was great. Didn't see any SV's today. Actually traffic was pretty light, probably cuz it's a holiday weekend.

 

LOL, no. It was a small dog, you'd have to be paying too much attention as I rode past to see it. The cop that pulled me over last weekend had parking lot detail this weekend (Yes there is a God and he likes me, but that's another thread later tonight or tomorrow) and he did a double take and bust out laughing as I came down out of the grass lot and out onto the road past him.
