Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.
Wait, did you just insult Jewish people? :nana:This is great, I love arguements over semantics.
The stickers.....they hurt my eyes!I cut down the LV SBK muffler by 6 inches - I really like the look of the shorty can, and the sound is a lot better. A little how-to article is here: http://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=121763

The wrench you need is in your tool kit if you still have it. Not as nice as a socket but works in a pinch.Anyone know the size sockets I need to loosen the rear axle for adjusting the chain? 20mm is the biggest I have an it's too small for the right side of the bike, 7/8" is too big on standard for that side of the bike. Castle nut on the other side is even bigger.
Castle nut is 24 mm. If you don't have a socket, maybe you have a Crescent wrench?Anyone know the size sockets I need to loosen the rear axle for adjusting the chain? 20mm is the biggest I have an it's too small for the right side of the bike, 7/8" is too big on standard for that side of the bike. Don't you need to apply a specific amount of torque to that castle nut that you wouldn't be able to accurately measure with a crescent wrench?Castle nut is 24 mm. If you don't have a socket, maybe you have a Crescent wrench?
Right so you should get a 24mm socket and use a torque wrench (72.5 ftlbs) to tighten everything down. If you want to do it right. Or you can do a good-n-tight with a crescent wrench if that's all you have.Don't you need to apply a specific amount of torque to that castle nut that you wouldn't be able to accurately measure with a crescent wrench?
You can learn what that amount of torque feels like and get by without a torque wrench. I do it all the time. I'll grab the torque wrench in some cases, though I don't have any hard and fast rules.Don't you need to apply a specific amount of torque to that castle nut that you wouldn't be able to accurately measure with a crescent wrench?
