Dropped it in an empty parking lot while practicing slow speed U-turns. Now have a shorty brake lever and some additional 'character' (ie. minor rash on can and bar end). Had a big D'oh moment, then had to stop chuckling as some people walking by helped me pick up the bike.

Guess it's like getting the first (minor) ding on your car; surprisingly liberating.

Dealership said $74 for a new brake lever. I had to clarify; I'm buying a lever, not a tank or something; eff that noise. SVR Parts board FTW!

I fitted my new video camera rig. Quite pleased, before my bike had parts from a CBR600RR, a CBR954, an RC51, 3 different GSXRs, and an R6. Now it also has a Muddy Fox mountain bike stem for a camera mount ;D I might have to branch out... Shimano calipers ;D

In the past few days I have:
Re-routed choke cable to prevent barbacks from straining the cable.
Adjusted shifter pedal to be more horizontal.
Bought T-Rex front and rear stands. These work well!
Bought cheap motorcycle jack, but there is no place to lift the bike from under the motor...
Bought rainsuit and kevlar jeans from New Enough.
Installed MOTECH center stand. Defeated the spring of death.
Wrenched back, legs and ankles trying to get bike up on stand before learning how to do it.
Now in the process of cleaning the chain. Back is recovering.
Trying not to get injured right before the MSF course in August.

I just got my new sv today so I rode the snot out of it. I had the dealer put a Yosh pipe on it and it sounds awesome. I rode H-D's for about fourteen years and thought they were great. Boy have I changed my mind!!! I cant believe I spent as much as 20k for a H-D. This SV is faster, smoother, and stops ten times better for about a fourth the price. I cant see that I will need any other mods for it. That may change down the road as I get more used to the bike. By the way I bought the naked model.

Attempted to switch blinkers and install fender eliminator, but found out I don't have the correct tools for the job, because the tools I was borrowed are garbage (dremel without chuck). Now I must get new tools before the weekend.

Started it in the garage to show off for my friend who just bought a scooter.

I think your friend is a little fruity :gay:
My friend is a girl who's never ridden a bike. Add in she's +50 years old. Now if it was a guy who fit that description I'd couldn't agree more with you. :D

Had to let her go and say my goodbyes lastnight.Wife had enough and we have some medical bills that take presidence right now over the SV bill.I'm definitely not in the best of moods today!:'(
