Well I put on my new HID kit and Pazzo shorty levers. 2morrow I am gunna try and get my new R6 throtle tube on.

installed my new free diy electric heated hand grips! They are a perfect temp when the bike is not running, but a little too toasty when riding. When building them i forgot to factor in the voltage increase of a running engine, more voltage = more heat.

I made them out of wire scavenged from an old 110 volt electric blanket. I should prob take some photos and do a little instructional how to.

I am going to try to install an electronic turn signal flasher into the circuit and see if that keeps them from getting so hot. If that doesn't work, i'll just have to increase the length of the heating wire by a few inches. The longer the wire, the cooler they are.

I am cheap!

Technically last night, but I did the TPS mod. Took some cursing, as the '09 version doesn't look quite like the pictures posted on the SV650.org forum, but got it done. Haven't the skill or seat time to really tell if it made a huge difference.

Since I'm out of work on injury, I had to think of something i could do that doesn't cost any money....TPS adjustment! Longest part of it was finding out the dang dealer block was wedged below the tail frame and inside the rear cowling...so I had to undo the left side of my rear body to get at it.

took me about 5 minutes and I got it spot-on @ 1450. I lowered my idle from 1400 to 1250 as well. took it out for a spin and could not believe the difference! It accelerates more smoothly and even goosing the throttle is smoother! I had my doubts about this mod, but I gotta say, it's pretty freakin awesome!

BTW, stock, mine didn't kick in till 4000!

Last night I prepped my bike for the upcoming shock swap. I got my ratchet straps over the I beam in my carport, got the bike on its stands, and picked up the bolt and nut at the dealer

Sent out the wrong rotor for the right rotor. When I get it it's going on and then a test ride after all the winter maintenance I've done.

Replaced the rear turn signals with LED signals. Fronts are going on tomorrow. Interestingly, with incandescent bulbs in the front and LEDs in the rear, I have the normal/slow blink rate when using the hazards, but left and right turn signals both blink fast. Weird.

I noticed the same thing. I think it's because on hazard, you have both stockers running, so there is enough current draw to slow down the rate.

What signals you get? Pics or thread?

I attmpted to add lower fairings to my 06 SV650S, but stripped a nut, so im off to buy some extractors tomorrow!! ;D
