You should contact Duracell and see if they will give you a little cash for advertising their batteries...

ugg... product advertising...

I don't mind the color.. that is actually pretty cool... but I really don't think I would advertise a product unless I really loved it.... are you an Remote Controll model freak or really into sex toys? :nana:

To each their own I guess...

Since the paint job, been waiting on Graphics, sorry the lighting does not do them justice, but it is nice to have them complete now.

Took the Vmax out for a ride yesterday, and then took the carbs apart and cleaned them out today.

Here are the pics of the Graphics on the SV

Yesterday: Sonic .85 springs, 15W oil, one lap around town (Edmonton - in March! Unheard of!)
Today: ZX-10r rear shock install, one more lap around town! (In March! Unbelievable in Edmonton!).

looks like you might have got a busa disc
Yes you did, the 99-07 Busa and 99-02 SV use the same 240mm rotor...
the second gen SV (and GSXR - not sure what years) use a 220mm rotor...

And they all (99-07 Busa, 99+ SV, GSXR) use the same bolt-pattern...

And FCUK!! I just bought the same Galfer wave rotor for my 06 GSXR rear rim I'm going to install. I would have been happy to take that off your hands (for less than what you paid, of course!! ;) hahaha)

I don't think so even if you did want it. I need th right rotor and It should be an even exchange back with who I bought it from. We'll see :)

Put an swmotech center stand on, cleaned and lubed the chain, and installed swingarm sliders
How long did it take you? Was it difficult? I been eyeing Twisted throttle for that item, but have been resisting taking the plunge...mainly because I ride my bike daily and can't afford it to be down more than one of my days off.

rode it today. it was chilly out. yesterday i got to fiddle with Steve's aTRE. i wasn't able to really test it in the first couple of gears, but i sure noticed a change in engine braking and downshifting along with popping exhaust while slowing down. every now and then with the aTRE engaged, i will get a real good loud pop, not often though. with it disengaged and OEM, it pops every time i downshift in 4th and 3rd gear. i like hearing the rare pop though, it surprises me haha.

Put ~300 miles or so on her over the weekend. It was really nice out but got chilly up in the mountains. The rebuilt forks and new rear shock definitely feel nice, but I need to set it.

I plan on picking up some stomp-tech pads today. I slide all over the place and hope these will help me keep my weight on the pegs better. I will probably need to buy some new rearsets though to move it back and down. Also going to scoop up some overpants.

Changed the oil and fired it up for the first time after putting it in storage. Bike fired right up even after leaving the battery in it all winter without a tender. Only thing I noticed was a flat rear tire.

Hopefully tomorrow I can get the new chain and sprockets put on so it will be ready to ride when it finally gets warm enough to actually ride to work.

Warmed up to the high 40s, mid 50s so Saturday the SO and I went on a 300 mile round trip ride to have lunch in St. Louis and a 200 mile ride Sunday with lunch along the way. The perfect weekend

Next weekend I gotta make the effort and get that ZX14 shock installed :)

Broke the front cylinder exhaust stud nowI get to play with that tonight.. Great..
That happened to me. I think the 1G uses a softer fastener so you may be alright. My 2003's hardened steel bolt broke off and it took a lot of work, a lot of heat and several hours to get it cleaned out. The thing that ultimately did it was diamond tipped Dremel bits. Cobalt and titanium drill bits wouldn't do it alone. Good luck!

's because you're a wuss. A real man like yours truly could get it out with a coke can, a bic lighter, two 2*4's and a mini-van.
On an off day I might need a brick of cheddar cheese -- no more than 1lb.

Tried the new First Gear saddle bags on and took the first ride of the spring yesterday. The old man came over on the BMW and we rode about 45 minutes around the county. Upper forties but not too bad.
