Ok, some of this is SV related. This has been a good week for me. Here is a pic of "some" of my newest goodies. I want to publicly thank Zoran for the sprocket carrier, without him I would never have been able to fit the 05 gsxr wheel in my swingarm. He been there with advise every step of the way on this.

Decided to do a minor service on the old girl. Oil/filter change, new air filter, clutch & throttle adjustment, idle set, throttle valves sycronized, and calibrated TPS. Also cleaned and justed the chain.

Replaced the original chain & sprockets (at 20,600 miles) with an OEM set and got a new Pilot Power mounted up front (just mounted a Pilot Road 2 out back a couple hundred miles ago). The chain was pretty stretched/worn and was starting to kink up in spots, but the sprockets looked great. I could see just a little wear on the front, but the rear looked perfect. I went ahead and changed them all as a unit anyway - like you're supposed to. Should be good for another 20K miles.

Had a fairly warm day today, (45 degrees) cleaned up the bike, installed swingarm sliders and put on the stock mirrors. Wasn't able to get the frame sliders on because I didn't have the right size socket, time to go tool shopping! Enjoyed a little quiet time just getting to know my new bike.

Finished hand polishing the rear wheel lips. 200, 320, 400, 600, 1000, 1500, 2000 grit and then three coats of alumium polish with a final level of carnuba wax to seal it in. Just need to paint the center spokes and call it a job well done. Makes the bike look so different. Would recomend it to anyone who has some time and no money.

Purchased the bike yesterday. Speedo cover was cracked in 2 spots (almost splitting the piece in half). Rather than spend any $$ on a replacement (and waiting for it to be shipped), I just plasti-welded it back together and filled a bunch of pinholes and other unused holes. Ground down the excess with the dremel and sanded it smooth. Now it's as strong as a new one and ready for paint.

Also, sanded out a bunch of knicks and scratches from the radiator guards, and gave it a coat of VHT high temp black paint. I didn't like the silver anyways.

Installed an LED flasher relay. Bought it at the local Cycle Gear that I didn't even know we had. Finally got new bar ends since i broke mine when it fell over with like 300 miles on the odometer.

went back to steel 525 sprockets n chain. back to original gearing also. was actually liking the 15-41. O well.

One simple painted piece but I like how it looks A LOT! good job man
It's actually a black Gladius fender, I replaced the stock SV fender.

I wanted that because its more rounded looking than the angular SV fender and it is black like the Pyramid hugger.

I didn't notice until today the Gladius black has blue flakes in it, you don't even see it until the light hits it. :)

dream,

Is that a Taurus pistol? That's a great carry size. I have a 24/7 in .40 S&W. Full size frame though, even a fat guy like me prolly couldn't hide it. :)

New Tires on Friday, My Painter came buy Yesterday and buffed out the paint job. Now waiting for the graphics! Hopefully the frame sliders will be in the middle of the week as well.
