i've been working on a gsxr/zx shock list with rates and correct rider weight for it. need actual shock length for a bunch though, just haven't been able to find them anywhere online. i figure it will make for a nice contribution to the shock swap guide.

Niice.. Shock length \ rate for GSXR 1000 03-04 and 05-06 are in the ABS shock swap guide thread :)

finished the marchesini swap and rode it. Its riding great with the 15/43 gearing. Im SO looking forward to the next 5 days.. sunny and warming.

Fixed a short in my new peg-mount turn signal - right side. that tool dip stuff is wicked cool...durable...had to use a razor blade to access solder point. Where I soldered positive wire to resistors was grounding out to frame..just slathered more tool dip underneath then pushed joint back in and slathered more on top and dried with blow dryer. I'm glad thats all it was...was dreading having to take it all out...lol.

Super glad I got off while there was still sunlight! woohoo! Got to ride in sunlight! The gods have been kind to me!

I installed a Delkevic stainless stubby exhaust. What a significantly different exhaust note; it is just what I wanted. The clamp supplied with the muffler is not very easy to tighten because the nut is too close to the clamp strap and only one clamp is supplied when two are needed. I bought better clamps from a local supplier and all is well.

I love plasti-dip that sh1t is amazing. the current setup has none but I used to have it on the old setup (same bike new design)

Today Ilooked at the bike. I really can't do anything until I get a call back from a shop who I need parts from. I may start up on some wire leads to do the Swingarm LED's but that depends on how much better I feel better with.

Got her RE-INSPECTED. Failed the first time for the following:

1. No horn
2. No mirrors (doh...)
3. Leaky fork seal

That's what they entered into the North Carolina database. I showed them that if you turn the key on, the horn works. The mirror could have been fixed on the spot with Cycle Gear right down the street, but the fork seals needed some work.

So, I ordered some seals, the driver (because i plan on doing this often) and some 10w and 15w fork oil (at the suggestion of Zoran). I replace the fork oil myself, put the stock mirrors back on, drive back to the dealer... passed! WOOT! Now I can get my license plate renewed. Shame they have all their systems connected now :(

I havent had my bike inspected since i got her back in 03....lol

wait they inspect these things?
only some states, but then even in mine they do, but i never take it. the bike i had b4 the SV, i took it in for an inspection, they honked the horn and made sure the the headlight worked......and that was a legit inspection, so i figure most dont have a clue what to look for on a bike, so why waste the money and time.

Same here until North Carolina linked their license plate renewals with the inspections. Just wait man, once your state gets enough money, they'll know everything about you and your bike!
gets enough money....hahahahahahahaha......lmao i live in wv, the dmv doesnt even accept credit cards yet, u still gotta pay with cash or check.
