Hopefully they don't have to learn the hard way by touching a hot exhaust and burning themselves.

Good thing with the golf balls there was no cars behind you. That could have been bad.
That gives me a great idea for a retaliatory weapon on the street. Modify the can to have a tube pointing vertical with about 10 balls loaded up; pull a string connected to a flap so one ball drops in and kaboom!

They have known from an early age not to go near the bike when daddy gets home, HOT!. Some little kid in the apt complex I lived in when I first bought the bike was not so lucky, full palm on freashly ridden Ti can, I still feel bad.

They would have been as suprised as me!!

Why yes... Yes I am. ;D

My first what did you do to your SV today post.

I brought it home unloaded it off the truck and put it in the garage. lol
Welcome! Do or did you own something else before the SV? I love mine...first street bike for me and it's awesome!

I have not had a bike sense 2000.

I rode the bike for about 30 min. today. Over all pretty good. One or two thinks I think I may change.
I will need to tighten up the forks. They are a little soft for my taste. And if the oil does not burn off the exhaust wrap fast enough, I will go ahead and rewrap it. I have some left over from the race car.

Installed my free set of MotoSliders! A few years back, Nate of MotoSlider fame offered free replacement hardware in exchange for my damaged pieces and pictures of the damage from the two crashes I sustained on the Dragon. The damage was exceedingly light to the bike and the sliders. Some miscommunication became no communication so I just kept crashing on my original set.

My most recent crash at the track finally did them in. The frame sliders were okay still, but the swingarm sliders both got pretty beat up. Being in a tight financial spot, I decided to contact Nate recently; a few exchanges and he sent me a completely new set sans the big thru-bolt I felt was fine... all on his dime! He didn't just make good on his original offer, he had a great attitude.

So now I'm rocking a shiny new set of MotoSliders; there were some changes and improvements made since I originally bought them in 2004. Let's see: 2 lowsides, collision with a car, and a highside and they probably could have taken more if I just replace the bolts on the swingarm sliders. I'm pretty happy!

Thanks, Nate!

For those thinking you can do the same thing, he has plenty of pictures of bikes with MotoSliders now so don't contact him or I will kill you.

No rain or fog today 64°,took doggie for first ride this year.:)
Saw first crop duster flying, love the sound of those round engines.!
Calling for rain all next week. :(

Started mine for the first time since the 20th of December, which is when I parked it up after getting caught in a short blizzard. Snowed every day since then til yesterday, the roads are finally clear just in time for more snow tomorrow

did my shock swap, pretty easy, the tough part was just getting the rear end in the air. kind of frustrating when i had to grind down the bolt so the dogbones wouldn't hit it, oh well though, that's ok.

adjusted the chain, cleaned it. cleaned some other stuff. checked tire pressure and filled them up.

Going to give in a quick once over, check the tire pressure, and clean the chain. We're supposed to see mid 40s for the next couple days and 40s more than few times next week. Hopefully it stays dry.

I'll probably be out with my brother in law on his bike getting him to a parking lot to start working on the basics.

Pulled two plugs and gave her some winterizing oil, fastened one of the grab handles again, checked tire pressure and talked to her about the beautiful spring we're going to experience together :D

First ride after my high-side. Felt good, but a little weird in high-speed sweepers. Shellshock.

Rode for a while and got my brother in law's bike running and got him started on it in a parking lot after he got his permit.

Measured chain slack (optimal), reversed the foot pegs, took off rear cowling and inspected the new GSXR 1000 shock I'm fitting in a "few" days.

i need to get pictures lol...... its in no better state then my camaro after yesterday

here we go, abs out yesterday, still have to deal with the wiring aspect of it. Forks coming out and getting disassmbled next time i get the chance.

Piled on another ~150 miles and clean/lubed the chain.

Awesome day.... 20+ MPH gusts, the bike was being thrown around like a leaf.

Replaced the stock mirrors with Napolean bar ends and the stock seat with the Suzuki Gel Seat. The seat's an improvement in comfort and the mirrors both function well and look great. Love that cafe look.

Installed heat shield on exhaust.
Installed fog lamps.
Installed Battery Tender pigtail.
Installed the ZX14 shock.
Installed Sonic Springs .90 and 15w oil.
Tested it all out. Removed fogs... more work needed there. :(

Walked around it while I worked on my Vulcan

installed a 12v cig outlet
poorman air mod
fabbed a bar mount for my Iphone/GoPro
And started working on my bi-xenon projector conversion!

Tomorrow is the SV's turn! Well I guess I did start shopping for tires for the SV
