Since the roads are frozen and there's tons of salt on them, I haven't ridden in two weeks. So today, as I pulled the car into the garage, I left the headlights on and pulled up the cover on my bike and looked at it to make sure it was ok and not rusting into oblivion.

It was ok. I felt better, but not much. :'(

You guys had copper as a colour in 2005? I thought that was 2003 only?
I'd paint everything at once, that way you assured to match up all the panels.
I have the bike stripped and will be painting the entire bike at once. We did not have the copper color in 2005, but I figure as long as we are painting the entire bike, might as well make it a color you don't see everyday, and of course the color the daughter likes since she will be the one riding it on the street.

been a long time since I road the SV since I highsided it a year & ahalf ago. I have rekindled my spirits & the SV is now a frankin bike of sorts with parts from roughly 7 other different SV's but it is now in one piece & has moved from its resting place under its own power. it may not be prety but god **** it was fun to feel her rumble down the road again

Installed relay/distribution block, heated grips, wiring for heated vest, changed my cig lighter to be a keyed power source and modified then installed a mount for a new safety device that I am pretty excited about.

Broke cam journal bolt! Yay! :(

Sheared off when I uncorked it. Upon closer inspection (which apparently I failed to do last time I had it out) I previously put in the wrong bolt type - looks similar but not quite. Doh!
Obviously it wasn't high strength steel. Don't know how I mixed it up but I'm the only one who could have. I'm a doofus.

Glad it happened to me instead of the next guy adjusting valves. 2nd removal attempt commencing tonight with new extractor, hopefully I won't have to pull the head. :)

Finished repairing headlight bracket/tabs... again. After my bad accident 2yrs ago, I had to repair 4 tabs with JB Weld, Goop, and metal brackets. My recent crash at the track broke one of those and another that wasn't broken so I rebuilt them with the same method and it mounts up perfect.

Installed the headlight assembly with the silver fairing I got from Macguyger (sp?) along with the straight fairing stay I got off eBay. Macguyver also included a tinted windscreen damage by brake fluid.... so I used brake fluid to repair it and it looks perfect again.

Drilled holes through the fairing and fairing stay to run wires for my integrated GSXR mirrors.
