If you'd like, I can give you my take-offs after November 28th. There's oodles of tread right down the middle where you need it. Stick 'em on your SV and try to show people how awesome your bike is because it can do that to tires.

Only if they're D220s. :p

Put on a pair of Hippo Hands. Went for a ride in 40* weather with my summer gloves on. The Hippo Hands worked great. My upper body was colder than my hands. The real test comes when it's 26* or so. I may wear my winter gloves when it gets that cold.

After the short (29 mile) ride, I pulled the drain plug and changed the oil. Since it's getting cold, I used Rotella T 5W/40 Synthetic. Better start ups when it's frigid. I cleaned off the magnetic drain plug which had a small amount of very fine metal on it. Since the oil does double duty in the transmission, I don't think it was excessive. Torqued the drain plug to 21 NM and that was it. Except for dealing with the used oil and dirty drain pan...

I went full snoot on the synth oil for the car. Hopefully, the longer mileage interval will give me a full three months before I have to change it again.

Gee, that's funny, I cheaped out on the car and put in dino oil cause it was super cheap (Mobil Clean 5000). If I have to change oil in the snow, I'm not going to be very happy. Hmmm....

Installed Clubmans, bar end mirror, relocated turn signals and went for a ride...

did I mention waxed it and took pictures?
Hope you like the Clubmans! I love mine...had to chop 1" of each side to make it more comfortable, but now I can do 200+ miles without to much discomfort!

synch throttle bodies....got to ride in the drizzle.....needs a wash, but she'll wait.
Got 5 ponies in the stable right now....so there's no room for detailing.

It was not so much "to" as it was "for," and it wasn't today, but yesterday.

I took a hard look at the garage, moved a couple of things that were in the way, and backed my car in extremely tight to the far wall. Now I can get the bike in and out of the garage without having to pull the car out first. WHO-HOO!  :hello2:

EDIT: Today when I got to work, the loading dock door was open, so I rode it right onto the dock and the scale they have. 416# with 95.6 miles of a full tank gone, so probably a little more than half a tank left. My only weight savings alterations have been a Viper stubby slip-on and a dubtec FE. Other than that, I changed to a Sargent seat, added motosliders, and filled the trunk with junk (cargo net, flat-fix, air gauge, mini-bicycle pump, etc). I don't know when the last time the scales were calibrated, but they don't seem too far off. I was curious.

Got my wife's SV all put back together yesterday after she had her get off about 2 months ago. Installed new forks, plastic's all the way around, new subframe, and Installed LED Blinkers all the way around

Install new sprockets (16/47, supersprox in the back) and a chain (525 DID x-ring) on Sunday. Rode to work and back on Monday. Smooth, peppie goodness.

16/47 is peppy? I think that's a lower/taller ratio than 15/45 so it would be less "peppy." I'm thinking it would feel more like 15/44 but I'd have to see a chart to say. What were you running before?

EDIT: Yep... I just ran that through a calculator and found the 16/47 is almost exactly the same as a 15/44, which I believe is stock for the naked SV... or was.

Got on I-40 and ran the shat out of it. She winds out pretty quick with the 16/43 sprockets. Sure is peppy on the bottom end though.

Rode it home and straight into the garage, without having to move the car. I LIKE IT!
