I checked the valves. 14,675 on the clock. The valves were all within spec., so no cam boogie or shims required (Yeah!). Not hard, just a little tedious.

Cleaned lots of bugs off of the front surfaces. There was one gigantic one that left guts and goo all over the place.

I'm trying to get baked on tar off of my muffler and pipe. Naphtha or acetone work well on this kind of thing usually, but this stuff is totally cooked on.

Any ideas how to get it off?

What no after shot of the bike without the fuggin baffle in it? That baffle makes it sound worse than stock... yank that thing out of there

Cleaned up my storage unit so I can put the bike back in there, plus do some work on it and keep it out of the elements.

Then cut off the stock can and installed the new Delk Stubby.

Tomorrow I hope to put on the new Pazzo levers, work on my seat cowl, figure out what I need for brackets for a belly pan, and possibly put on some new grips. Might reinstall the Duc fairing as well.

Tried not to rev it too much, since I'm not really supposed to do shop type work at my storage unit, which backs right up to a bunch of folks back yards. Figure complaints about on a Saturday night probably wouldn't go over too well. Wish I could have ridden some with the straight pipe, but probably better I didn't.

Got the insurance check in the mail. Someone else is paying for the damage they did to it when they knocked it over. $2264 worth of damage.....now for new parts. :D

Not yet, but it will happen. It was getting dark, and I had already been revving the bike w/out the pipe, so I figured I'd give the people that live behind my unit a break.

Put it on a battery tender.
It hasnt moved in a few weeks due to house projects and the triples & wheel needing to be swapped, as well as installing the new cables.

Last night I installed my new Vance & Hines S4 exhaust:rock:. I had already done a snorkelectomy and rejetted. Also, I have new Pilot 2cts and just installed a 47t rear sprocket.

I am using a Dynojet #140 main and the needle is on the 3rd groove from the bottom. This seems to be a consensus starting point from the jetting thread I was reading (sea level), any thoughts?

I fired up the bike last night and I am VERY pleased with the sound. I didn't really get to rev it out, it was already after 9pm and I didn't want to tick off the neighbors....it was a bit louder than I expected.

Today, I am taking the bike to a local shop to install the new front sprocket (stock size) and chain! Just a few more days until she is back on the road!

also orderd a titanium brake pad slide bolt for the rear brake

Took the hugger off, think it looks much better. I think the bike liked it too, felt like maybe 5 more hp.:vroom:

Rode it to school, then to work in the rain. Can't wait till i can ride it home again ;D.

Met a guy at school in the parking lot. He was looking at the front end of my bike. Turns out he owned a red 06 sv650 parked right next to mine. He replaced the ignition and didnt get his light on right. He was looking at mine for reference.
It was cool to see another sv in person.

and high octane!
Hehe, especially after about 11 pm on a Friday or Saturday night!

(who am I kidding, more like 8pm....in bed by 11)

Anyway, back to the exhaust....I got it running and rode some today. I am working on getting a video up on YouTube. Once that is there, I will post it in the exhaust thread. I can't wait for the rain to let up here in Houston. Should be able to ride on Friday!

Crashed it :( Pics once i'm out of the hospital. Havnt seen the bike yet but looking on the bright side im hoping insurance money will equal much desired mods.
