Took it for the last ride of the season, getting cold, rear tire is worn out and I can't afford to replace right now. But it was a great ride, perfect weather and clear roads. I wanna get back on :(

I just got my bike back this Friday afternoon after getting a Poly26 lower fairing, a hot bodies undertail and a targa rear seat cowl painted/installed. :) What do ya'll think?

is there a way i can do it in windows without photoshop installed? like... out of the box windows xp? i can't seem to do it in 'paint'.. maybe i'll post it up to imgshack instead.. sec.. will be reposting/editing.

Cut that annoying piece of metal off of the kick stand. I never used it, and hit my shin on it multiple times.
Also added new grips. Don't remember the brand. Was told they were the most comfortable by the shop owner, who added about 15psi to each tire (oops)

It's pretty rough. I didn't have a grinding wheel to smooth it out, and I'm gonna repaint it later on.

After they sat in my garage for about seven months, I finally put the springs, damper rods and emulators in the forks. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be. The only real "difficulty" was re-seating the upper bushing, and even that wasn't that bad. It just took a bigger hammer. I won't be able to check to see if it is the ZOMGBBQ revelation that everyone claims it is until I get my new clutch cable this Wednesday (I hope).

The fine little British tyre gave me two trips to the Dragon, and over 8,000 miles. I probably could have got another 1k out of it, but inspection was up this past Wednesday. They tend to frown on the wear bars showing at safety inspections. :dontknow:
Wow. I think I'd have thrown that in the corner as an emergency spare. Unless you already have an emergency spare of course.

look s like that tire needs some more corners...

I am still waiting to replace this god d a m n stock tire... I might just toss it away in the spring with about 5000km on it or about 3100 miles.. actually by then it may be 3700 miles...

D A M n I've never ridden such a shiddy tire before.. and I rode IRC as well as Kenda tires on my old maxim.. those were absolute sh!t...

Spitfires for the old bikes.. but am not sure whic I'll go with for my next tire... I loved the Road attacks on my 99.. perhaps they would be as good on my 2006.. but I hear road Smarts are good too...

I just want something that will stick to the road in the dry and wet and COLD.. the road attacks were pretty good that way...

But I also want it to last..

I've seen a few conflicting reports lately... but I still think I am leaning toward the road attack... it is agressive enoug but still has a decent mileage rating.. and works well in the cold.. I ride whenever there is no snow or ice on the roads.. so -5c to +5c (23f-41f) is about average when I ride in the winter... a summer tire just doesn't cut it in that cold a temp they are like riding on bricks... I found the road attack surprisingly forgiving in cold temps

I rode her to work today and back home while breaking every posted speed limit sign by at least 15mph. ;D

i broke one of my Madd handguards off, it got caught on the chain link as I was backing it out of the back entrance to the apt... :(

Actually, I will be doing exactly that, as the garbage truck won't take tires and a board member is changing them for me, not a shop. No disposal fee = no disposal, and I'm not going to simply toss it over a hillside. Eventually a local bike shop will leave their fence open, and I'll nonchalantly add it to their stack of old tires

Lubed levers, remounted gear shift lever with some blue loctite so it doesn't fall off again.

Ordered new stands, rear seat cowl, tank pad/grippers, and FE kit. :D

SWEET! It's gonna be so good, you wonder why you didn't get one earlier. :p

Thanks again... You're helping me fund a shock for my new bike, which needs one badly.
Yeah I had an Ohlins on my TLR and on my old GSXR race bike. I only have the SV now and had been dying to get something on there.
Finally got to ride it today. I need to fine tune a bit, but it feels great.
Thanks again.

I did the TPS adjustment today. It was easy. Now my bike has 1500 usable RPM on the bottom it didn't used to have.

If you need to find out what a TPS adjustment is, here's a great link explaining the process.

I washed old Suzie today, too. I've ridden in light rain twice and between that and the generous crust of dead insects, it wasn't a moment too soon. Man, she looks great! :)
