Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.
:'( That's cool you didn't have to modify it but, geez, that thing sticks waaaay out there. Do not like!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNqchZNIzV0
09 GSXR SCORPION CAN ON 03 SV650
Pun intended?Installed my Pilot Road 2CT's and got rid of the Conti RA's. Sticking to Michelin from now on...
Ran 36 psi on the PR's, but after hearing many claims of the RA's requiring higher pressure, I ran 38-39 psi on them for both the highway and the canyons. As far as riding - I rode the PR's hard just like I rode the RA's. However the RA had rubber peeling off of it after I had been running some high speeds consistently (imagine how the rubber on an eraser peels off when rubbed against paper).I know the road attacks used to be great..up to the late 2007, early 2008 run... since that time though I have heard a few cases of them not lasting as long as they used to....
So I wonder if it is an air pressure thing, a user driving thing, or... a shift in tire compound that has caused lower mileages...
In the spring I am going to throw these apparently good looking stock tires for something else.... I can't handle the ass end sliding around on engine braking and or just mild rear braking... and the crappy cornering.... the almost new stock tires are worse than almost bald bridgestones were on my 99 SV
