Installed an exhaust clamp.
Noted that my gsxr forks look tweaked. Great! Now I have to figure out if it is the forks or the triples. I hope its the forks because I don't want to order another lower bearing.

 

Chain adjustment for tomorrow's ride. yay!

 

Finished spraying color and clear on my gsxr front fender. OEM Thunder Metallic Grey :rimshot:

 

Dropped a footpump on it and took a chunk of paint out the rear side panel. :facepalm:

Fortunately it wasn't the newly painted bike or that would have been a really bad day.

 

checked the rear swing arm after some strange vibes and found play between the spacers and the swing arm, having some shims sent out

 

Took it out for one more ride before parking it and waiting for money for new front tire. 170 miles through the hills dodging cows and tractors...lol. Had a blast! Kinda curious about why my left side is more worn than my right...thinking maybe its because that's the way roads are sloped?

The left side of tires are usually more worn then the right, most left turns sweep allot more then right turns allowing you do get into the turn more. I started noticing in town, on roads with 3 lanes + 2 turning lanes I can run out of first gear before leaving the intersection. On right turns no matter how many lanes it a sharp 90 degree turn that you really can't get much lean angle on.

 

I'm opposite...I'm more comfortable leaning right. It's easier for me to scrape my peg going right than left. I been practicin though!

 

regardless you have more opportunity to lean left on the street because left turns have more arc then right turn on the street

 

Same way here. Too much traffic around here for my head to be anywhere near the centerline. Rather hang over the outside of my lane.

Installed a Sylvania Silverstar Headlight bulb tonight. Was kinda skeptical to buy a $25 light bulb but after a quick ride tonight it definately throws mor elight out there than a standard H4 halogen bulb.

 

Remounted my license plate....PO had it blocking one of the rear turn signals. Oh...I checked the pressure in my tires too :rimshot:

I'm very interested to get them into my mitts to see about finishing options. I don't think I'm going to like the "natural" finish with which the ship.

 

Just finished cleaning carb, running smooth for the spring weather...and replaced highbeam indicator. Need to go...headin to the Timonium md. bike show. (riding substitute behavior)

 

Cut the lower shock mounting bolt so there is clearance with the dog-bones.
Removed the tank to have it repainted.
Set the preload on the gsxr front end.

 

washed it and fitted my new custom made axle nut, thats the problem when everything on my bike is from another bike and the front wheel is from a different bike to the forks confusing or what

 

drilled my top triple in preparation for bars. need to get N cables though.

 

Throttle cables can be rerouted and it works.
Clutch cable needs a replacement (gs500 will work)

 

picked up the bar clamps from my coworker late tonight. getting a better idea of what things are gonna be like.

 

Finally did the oil change, chain adjustment, cleaning, and oiling. All of which are loooooong overdue. Tomorrow (hopefully), I'll be dismantling things to check and adjust the valve lash! Huzzah for vaguely proper maintenance!

Today I installed 03-04 GSXR 1000 Rear Shock and put 06 GSXR 600 Fat Ass on the back courtesy of Luis's (SVX650+) Kits. Or Rather Yesterday I did!!

 

Put on a new pair of rubber. Angel ST in 120/70 + 160/60.

I just finished replacing my spark plugs. That was after realizing that the 07' and up have 4 plugs. Anyway, I have an 06' and it was a super easy job. I'm just waiting on all my plastics to get back from the paint shop.

 

Handed over the tank to the painter, now I just need to get it back and reinstall it and I will have a bike I can photo whore.
