Got her buttoned up this weekend, a little over 2 full days of work with the help of Fluke and Mudturtle, new GSXR front end and some real fancy custom brackets to mount up my stock light and gauges.

Straightened the front rotors as best I could on my new spare wheels. eBay seller said the rotors were in great condition but one of them was over 5mm out of spec. It's too much hassle to get this taken care of, especially when he claims they were straight when he shipped them, though he apparently did not use a runout gage.

i was excited about turning over 20,000 today......but i got pulled over when i hit 19,999!!! i got a warning for my license tag location. then i rolled over 20K...and got pulled again less than 2 miles down the road. this time i got a written warning for my tag. troopers are SWARMING hwy 26 and 85 in upstate SC. i wasn't even speeding. they're just going ape shite for "safety" reasons. i've seen 8-10 troopers on my morning and afternoon commutes in the 40 mile stretch i ride. yesterday i got yanked in my jeep for "crossing the white line". got a verbal warning for that. i told him its hard to drive straight watching a Hemi torpedo flying towards you in the rear view mirror.

Took off my recently-installed sticky clutch lever (causing slipping clutches without...manual...return of lever to open), figured out where it was binding, took the dremel to it. Reinstalled. Works perfectly now.

I love dremels.

wow, that seems a little overkill on behalf of the troopers. too bad you got tagged for your tag location. is it not easily visible?

pffft cold... wow what a girlie-mon 90 is 32 celcius... I will swim in 18-25c water and am only a little chilled... riding in the rain at 32? come on... cold??

even if you.. yourself were the one that was naked riding the bike, 32 at 100mph wouldn't even be cold

Finally got around to installing new spark plugs and replacing what had to be the factory coolant with Engine Ice at 9,000 miles. Had to yank out the overflow tank and hose it out and scrub the inside with a brush to get it clean... man that things a itch get out of there!

Went for a ride on a little 80 mile loop near home to brake in my new Cortech gloves. Very nice! Also stopped and had a coffee along the way. Remember never to get coffee from that same girl again. Pathetic!
