Gave it a bath and changed my oil.

Rode it to the office, commuted.

Question: Does anyone know why you can't add coolant to the radiator by removing the radiator cap instead of raising the gas tank to add it to the overflow tank? It would be nice to add coolant without taking the seat off.
The overflow tank keeps the radiator filled at all times (if the tank itself isn't empty). Coolant flows from the radiator to the overflow tank when it gets hot and back as it cools. This is regulated by a pressure release which raises the boiling point of the coolant.

This is the way all overflow based systems I've seen work anyway. I'm not sure it's that way on the SV but I'd give good odds on it.

Put gas in it, rode to eat lunch, went to bike and it had a warning ticket on it. I parked it by the bicycle rack close to a building that had a little shade there. Later!

I rode to work, and rode home! woo!

But seriously, I've just cleaned the chain, went for a 10min ride to warm it up, and I'm about to go apply some bel-ray chain lube. Then, I'm going to try and modify/install the Buell foot-pegs. Here goes...

rode it to bike night and back

Rode it 400+ miles today. On our way through eastern Utah I actually saw RichDesmond on his way home to Oklahoma from his trip to Alaska. What a coincidence. Neither one of us had any idea the other one would be in that location at that time.

I took mine for a test spin try out the new forks that are now a little lower and see how she handles. Not as twitchy now and I've got my steering lock back.
