Got reflective red rim tapes today.Put the back ones on,now the frot needs to be done tommorow.Post pics when done.Sdoobs the oil in my 06 was dark to,think it`s the way that oils colored.
you can call me dobbs. :p

well some oils come in different colors. kawasaki has a 10w40 that looks exactly like coolant, it is a neon green that is nearly see through. can am - brp has 10w40 that is golden like honey. the fork oil i put in today for maxima 10w and it was clear. obviously, once oil has been used for awhile it changes colors because of use and whatnot. i didn't know what to expect from it. the left fork was a dark brown and the right side was a distinctive burgandy or plum color. they were distinctively different.

I opened the box I received today containing my new shock from Zoran! I'm a VERY happy girl. Now, I just have to install it and a couple of other goodies and all will be well in my world!!! :)

i hope they didn't just do one tube. that's never a good thing. i actually had never seen clear so that was a first for me. this is the first time i've done forks on my own. at my work i had always helped and been there for the extra hand to watch and learn and take in what i could but never done them entirely on my own. good experience for me. rather simple too. only about an hour of actual labor. took about 3 in reality though, between b.s.ing and talking about bikes with my coworkers haha.

Hmm. I'd be hoping for something probably not more than 120-130% of the loudness of the stock. I do a lot of riding in residential areas.

Has anyone put a noise meter to the various exhausts? Might be something to do at the next rally...
Chop that stock can, man... I'm tellin you it's an amazing mod. I originally did it to hold of fon buying a slip-on, but I no longer have any urge to modify the exhaust, the chopped stock one is just THAT good. In residential areas, just keep the rpm's below 3, and it's really not too loud.

I haven't even seen my SV in three days, cuz the place where I keep it had the driveway sealed, so I have to wait, BUT I just replaced the spark plugs for the first time, installed SM Type2 bars, and I need to go back to detail it, and fix my undertail.

I put it up for sale, with deeply mixed feelings.

Finally got the F$#%ing bodywork installed.

Yes yes...pictures needed.

No camera yet.

Need to figure out how to get Motosliders installed into the front frame/engine bolts instead of the pass through. Anyone done this?

Why would you do this? It would negate a lot of the value of the Motosliders, because in a crash you'd impart twisting forces to the frame and/or engine. The pass-through is the ideal place to mount sliders.

Hi Herzuki, Please post pics of your bike after all the goodies are on it!

Thanx! ;)
Absolutely will do. I ordered a pair of the Rizoma Zero 11 turn signals last night (could only afford one set at this time) so I'm hoping they will arrive before the end of the month because I want to install the shock, the new throttle cables, and the Zero's the first weekend of September. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait to have my replacement fairings painted until funds are more readily available. Will keep you posted! (pardon the pun) :)

is that a penske? i am happy for you, although i can't lie; i wish it was me.
It's a double-clicker and I looked just like a kid on Christmas morning opening the box and holding it up, snuggling it for a photo. Yummy! :)

The only reason I could afford a new shock was because my friends neighbor backed into my bike and I rec'd some $$$ so don't feel bad. I wouldn't wish that on anyone! I'm just replacing stock parts with New, Shiny, Yummy parts! :)
