I was quite shocked to see my flea-bay windscreen sitting on my desk when I came to work today. I had only won the auction last Friday, and it was shipped from Hong Kong. The best part was that although it was described as "Aftermarket DB Style in the post...

...it isn't. It is in fact already a much shorter than stock single contour screen. I was planning on taking the Dremel to it based on the description, but now that I see it, I'm thinking "perfect." Not bad for $0.10 plus $30.00 shipping. It's going on tonight.
If anyone wants some blue anodized dished washers, let me know. Apparently Hong Kong doesn't know the best color is Candy Sonoma Red!

Some phucking electrical gremlin I for the life of me cannot figure out. It will not start.
A local racer I know does bike work on the side for cheap will help me out. Picks up the bike in his trailer and doesn't even charge for a pick up or drop off.... he's a cool cat.
Should have it back in a week or so because he's super busy.

Spent another 5 hours today pulling out the wiring and re-doing everything. I basically ended up re-making the factory harness and only using the stock connectors, but now everything works like it's supposed to.Installed my new PIAA H4 Xtreme White plus bulbs and my new Driving lights. Everything went OK, except for after I got the driving lights hooked up and applied power to them I got no light, so I emailed the company I got them from and just waiting to hear back from them.
Hopefully when I get everything working it will make all the night riding I do a little less stressfull.
My new harness. I followed the factory harness through the frame up by the steering stem.
All that I cut out of the stock wiring
I followed the brake lines up into the fairings
The finished product. Overall I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I took my time. On all of the connections I used heat shrink connectors and then wrapped the connectors with heat shrink tubing, so hopefully it will last a long while.
I'm open to any input as to anyways to make it better, although I have no electricity in my garage, so soldering the connections isn't an option.

That reminds me. I need more butane.
They look low. How do you have them aimed? Seems to me you might want them a little higher so you could angle them down just a bit. Just asking.

I haven't aimed them yet. I'm waiting for it to get dark. I don't know if they are going to be too low or not. I'm still kind of in the experimental stage right now with the mounting points, I just mounted them there because it was the easiest way I could see to mount them and Magpie has his mounted in the same area, so I figured I try that spot first.![Image]()

I already took it off the bike.
Stupid thing is SO tight on there, it won't allow my throttle to return freely.
Might be due to the grips I have on the bike. I've got ProGrip 714's on it, and they're a little fatter than most sportbike style grips.

If you have bar ends and not too much space between the bar end and your grip, the CAT O-ring works just fine as a throttle lock...
Negative on the bar ends.
I think it's my grips.
What about that Vista Cruise thing I keep seeing mentioned?

Spent a total of 8 hours replacing the chain, sprockets, front brake fluid, adjusting the front brake, shift lever, and clutch and cleaning off every single lump of dirt, grease, grime whatever along the way. I swear I cleaned of a couple pounds of gunk, enough to fill a coffee can. Finished off with a nice bath. I took the pretty little squeaky clean machine to our first bike night, the ride was was so smooth with a brand new chain and sprockets(larger rear now) it seriously felt like a brand new bike. She was definitely grateful of the care after 19,000 miles on the stock chain and sprockets:hug: and let the GSXR 600 next to me(or rather behind most of the way:nana know it.
