let me know how you like the inner shades. i'm thinking about getting the same lid.
Will do, it should be here Friday. BTW if you order it by Friday you get a free High Def visor. It's an HJC promotion so anywhere you buy from should be offering it. Newenough was the cheapest I found even with the shipping charges.

I've had mine for a while now (probably around 5-6k miles). It's started whistling around the visor if I tilt my head a certain way (which also happens to be the most comfortable way).

I do like the inner shade though. If you take the nose cone thing out of it, you can look at the gauges below the inner shade.

The inner shade isn't very dark though. Most sunglasses are darker. I have a mirrored visor, and even with that and the inner shield it's not very dark.

Look at both of them sitting so quiet and patiently in the garage while I continue to curse and cuss at the RC51 who's been stealing the spotlight.

Bodywork and pictures on the track bike (07 SVS) will be posted by the end of the month...hopefully.

Put on the flush mount LED indicators, carbon fiber top triple trim, flame SV1000S decals, new rear seat cowl, and chrome 'busa bar ends. Awaiting delivery for the billet clutch and front brake reservior caps. Then the SS brake lines.

got caught in some wicked weather on the way home from work. downpours, wind gusts, standing water ,it was pretty squirrely. oh and lets not forgot the frackin tailgaters. was a fun, though nerveracking, ride home. bike handled well, even with the stock rubbers.

got home to find out a tornado actually touched down a town or to over. in retrospect, maybe i should have waited it out at work. good to get the experience though.

yesterday i mounted my rear dunlop road smart. today i did the front. and cleaned and lubed the chain. and yesterday i forgot to put in a space on the rear so i did that again.

Steel wooled the rust on the drag bars I pulled off my CB and installed em on the SV, rust, pits and all but hey, its function over form right.

Gonna install my R6 throttle tube tomorrow if I can find it.

I wouldn't call that "function" if their structural integrity is compromised with rust pits. :p

Very true but I'm to cheap to buy a new set of bars, I'll experiment with this set and if its worth it I'll get a black set.
(these are chrome :puke:)

Put my pipe back together after chopping a few inches off.

Made a new front brake reservoir mount for the R6 master to the GSXR triple, cause the old one was too thin aluminum and failed.

Made an aluminum under tray that will also be the ECU and battery mount. Modified the subframe for the GSXR tail. Still needs more, but it's moving forward for sure.

I got to ride with mine Saturday. No whistling on mine, but it sounds like yours developed after a while, so we will see.

I can see my gauges fine with the nose cone thing in, but I think that it depends on your height and riding position.

I do agree with you that the inner shade isn't very dark and I'm hoping that they come out with a darker one after a while, since that is the is biggest complaint that I hear with these helmets.

So far I'm liking the helmet and it's a whole lot better than my crappy GMAX helmet that I had before this one.
