I lubed the chain yesterday and can't wait to give it a good ole fashioned soap n water bath this weekend. I usually use spray polish and shine and I will after it drys then back to the waterless routine.

 

Rode it like a friggin idiot trying to get to work on time after oversleeping.

 

Those are the best rides. I did that this morning too. ;D

Rode to work after putting installing new sprockets, chain and front brakes over the weekend. The new gearing — 16 front and 45 rear — feels good so far. Bike is less buzzy at cruising speeds with a drop of 500 rpm or so

 

Oil change.

 

Broke 10k on the her yesterday. Cleaned all the bugs off of her before she went to bed.

 

Took the "SV650" stickers off the rear fairing.

Hi Bruce! :hello: Saw you heading up 17 this morning. I was at Saunders, in my truck.

 

Adjusted my clutch and F brake levers to where they angle a bit lower, felt very different. Im liking the clutch side, but changing my hand position on the throttle is going to take some getting used to.

Took a ride before the rain gets here and family comes to visit for the weekend.

 

Last night picked it up from having the carbeurator jetted (had never been done from when the Scorpion exhaust was put on) and it now feels like a whole new bike. More responsive, doesn't sound like it's out of breath, shifts better, a lot smoother, etc... Rode it to work today despite threats of rain.

 

Didn't get to ride it to work, but plan on some quality time tonight.....just the two of us. I was thinking gonna work on some of the pesky stickers on the frame I still haven't taken them off, to busy riding. Then I think I'm going to start to undress her....starting with the little fly screen around the headlight and gauges. She's already naked, but less is more in my book, might even lose the front fender...just have to see where the night takes us!:hug:

Me, I rode mine.

 

Did my Sunday ride today. Got gas, it's $4.29 for 87, need to clean the chain now.

 

Went to Best Buy. Picked up earphones. Saw Liutas and Looshia. They were not on their SV's.

 

SM type ones.

 

Removed stickers (including the Scorpion sticker from the exhaust), washed, checked the chain and oiled it, rode it around a bit.

 

Started engine.
Pulled in clutch lever.
Put into 1st gear.
Opened throttle while letting out clutch.
Gained speed.
Pulled in clutch.
Shifted to next highest gear.
Repeated this many times.

 

Didnt do anything to the SV....and I think she's jealous. I played with her baby sister, the Ninja 250...changed her oil, took her for a little 50 mile run, and lubed her chain.

 

I got it ready for a DIY fender eliminator make over and i spray painted those luggage pinz black...i think it looks better =D
