Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

Busy day today.

Started by installing my frame sliders. Ironically, I almost dropped the bike in the process. The kickstand somehow went up while I was moving it a few feet forward to gain some working space, and when I was setting it down/walking away the kickstand wasn't down anymore. Luckily I saved it.

Checked the air filter.

Adjusted idle. It was at 2k for some reason.

Adjusted TPS. The whatever happens was happening at close to 3500 RPM. Can't wait to see the result. Unfortunately all the work I did required quite a few beers, so I am unable to try it out for now.

Changed the plugs.

Synced the throttle bodies.

Changed brake fluid.

Still to do after dinner break is over: clean chain.

Chain fairly clean now. What a f'n mess.
watched it get rained on.

:(
Washed the bug guts and pollen off it.
This thread has become the most boring thread on svr. There are more posts like the ones above than real posts that people want to read. I want to hear about you swapping parts. I want to hear about you crashing. Nobody gives a sh!t about you staring at your bike, or washing it, or wishing the rain would go away. This thread has become post-whore central. "Hey everybody, want to rack up your post count, come to this thread!" I seriously doubt this is what the OP had in mind, and it makes an otherwise interesting thread, incredibly dull.

Today was front tire day. I took off a worn out Michelin Pilot Power and replaced it with a Pilot Road 2. Now I have a matching set of tires for the first time in quite a while. The Pilot Power lasted 7K miles. I balanced the new tire with Dyna Beads. I've been using them for about 11K miles and they work great.

While I was working on the front end of the bike, I checked the fork oil level and reduced it by 5mm to try and get more travel out of the front end.

I rotated the handlebars as low as I could without hitting the tank at full lock.

I get to ride tomorrow. ;D

Well, not today exactly, but I rode mine all around Road Atlanta all weekend watching the AMA Superbike/Supersport/Daytona Sportbike races. Three of us camped out in my friend's toy hauler. We had an AWESOME time! I'll definitely be back next year.

After taking a 200 mile 2-up ride with my wife yesterday, came home and did oil change and GP shift conversion. GP was hella easy...don't understand why some people have such a hard time with it.

Today, I worked on my rear turn signals a little more and modified the passenger seat for my wife. I added 4 inches to the width, used a flexible board for the seat section and padded it with gel pad from Pro Pad. Looks really corny on my bike, but my wife likes it. My first attempt to wrap it with vinyl came out pretty bad...first time sewing double turn seams. I'll try again next week.

stared at it.

looked at it.

thought about washing it..

while looking at it.

started 'er up..

just to hear her run.

washed a bit of it.

washed the rest of it

Wait a minute.. no I didn't!! I rode the flying f**k out of it, like I do everyday. Because I'm not a f**king loser.

I rode 65 miles in the rain, Victoria to Nanaimo BC, Then picked up the rack for the side bags and rear top bag. Took the ferry to Gabriola, rode 12 miles down to the bottom of the Island. At home I installed all the pieces. Then I tied on my two small side bags. Tomorrow I will bolt on a piece of plywood for the rear top bag. Later I will change that to a piece of aluminum. Tomorrow I will put some air in the tyres, oil the chain and wash my baby.
Then go up Island for a noon meeting with the bike gang.
Thursday I will ride back to Victoria.

What a bunch of ignorant b*stards.
We should go to another thread, when this thread was great before all the losers cluttered it up? Why, so you can eventually move to those threads and clutter that up too? Anything you don't want to hear, you call whining (as I'm sure this post will be quoted by some 36-year-old still flipping burgers at greasy king).. we call it, asking people to stop the garbage posts. Do you people seriously have nothing better to do than log onto svrider, get on your favorite post-whore thread and write to everyone that you washed your bike?! Very good little sally, here's your gold star for the day!

And don't bother with the inevitable question, "don't you have anything better to do than blah blah blah.."
We just want the posts that are actually about something to be enjoyed by everyone, and sometimes things need to be said.

And enough of your bullsh*t about "oh, we have to follow ALL your unreasonable rules!!" :jerkbag:
My ONE request is that people shut up with their garbage posts. I don't think it's hard for anyone to figure out the difference between a garbage post and something that people would want to hear about. If you were my friend and every time I saw you, you told me that you looked at your bike or washed it today, I'd back-hand you in the mouth.
